6v Camera Battery

I have lost my camera charger i was thinking if i can use a phone charger terminals by connecting it directly to the battery terminals.if its possible can i use a higher charger voltage than the battery specfied voltage i.e 3.6v li-ion battery charging with 3.9v or 4.5v adapter?

Buy a charger specifically designed for your battery number there are loads of them on eBay. You need the one that mentions your batteries number in the list of compatible batteries.

Lithium batteries must NEVER be overcharged (they go bang) you need a charger that monitors the state of the battery during charge.

Don't underestimate these little critters, they store more energy than a 45 magnum cartridge has. So when they go bang they really go bang. 100's of people a year get injured by these batteries blowing up, a few even get killed.

Buy a proper charger for your battery they are cheap enough, don't risk it.

In response to this video (www.i-am-bored.com I tried it myself and discovered that it is not true that this brand of 6v battery contains 32 AA ...

I have an older SHARP VL-E34U Viewcam video camera, and the battery I have is no good. Its not holding a charge anymore, so I am trying to find a place that sells these still. I need one quick, so does anybody know where I can get one?

Sure. If it fits mechanically, it will be OK. You might damage a battery if you recharge it too fast. Slower is always OK.

All Li-Ion batteryies have the same voltages. Some call it 3.7V, others call it 3.6V.

Camera i use is a Panasonic DMC-FS3 with a 3.6V 1000mAh battery pack

both battery packs have a different chemical compound. But the same cut off charging voltage so you can use that one if you are sure that the physical characteristics of the battery packs are identical (+,-).


Lithium batteries are dangerous so you want to be really sure about that!

It says that the camera has a 6v battery that works but is currently reading 5.9v. & May need to be replaced...How much would that be to have replaced? and what exactly is it? Thank you.

easy to change yourself. I used to have an AE1 - I think the battery door is right on the front.
