Battery Charger Sony Camera

Okay, I tried thinking of possible ways why my battery charger for my Sony camera isn't working. I put the battery into the charger, then I put the charger into a wall outlet, the lamp turns yellow and then seconds later...it's turned off! Does that mean the battery is being charged or is the charger isn't working? Please, I need answers and I really need my battery to be charged for my camera soon.

mine is doing the exact same thing!!! thats why i found your question, i'm going to try to look up other questions and see if i can figure it out. if i do i'll let you know.
anyway, to answer one of your questions, i'm pretty sure it isn't charging, because i put mine into the wall last night and this morning the lamp was out.

****turns out, that the battery was fully charged. how? i don't know. lol. but the battery is charged now, and i'm guessing the lamp going out indicates that it's fully charged.

I lost the charger for my sony digital camera en route to europe, so i need a new one. i go to berlin tomorrow. is there going to be a diference between the camera I bought in america and the charger i find inm berlin

have u tried going to an appliance store, they have certain things like that, or order one from the sony distributors, they have parts for their merchandise sold separately.

Now my batteries finished, and I want to buy Duracell charger with Nimh batteries, the same type as my former Sony were. I think that Duracell batteries are better than Sony. Will they work with my camera? Which brand provides better quality batteries in your opinion?I am sorry for my very "dummy" question. Thanks in advance.

As long as they are the same size, voltage and chemistry, they'll work just fine. Duracell and Energizer are industry leaders. You've made a good choice.

The plug on it is heavy, but it separates from the charging unit easily with a 2-hole socket. I hav limited luggage weight, so can I borrow one from a friend when I get to Austalia or would it harm the battery or just not charge? it is a DSC-T7.

YES! the BC-CS3 Sony power unit will accept a standard 2 pin lead and is multi voltage, so will work anywhere. You could even buy a lead in Maplins without a plug, and cut it shorter, then fit an Oz plug when you arrive.
