Battery Life Digital Camera

I'm planning to buy a digital camera that's in the $300-400 range. I've been looking at Nikon COOLPIX P90 and I really like it but it has such a poor battery life. So I looked at Sony HXI, it 's too large.

I need a camera that
- has long battery life
- not too large (4.5 x 3.3 x 3.9 inches - this dimension is good)
- has high quality images
- can record movies
- has manual mode


What are your recommendations?

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ35. This is a great camera.

I'm looking to buy a digital camera, between 80-130 pounds, can take video as well as pictures but im concerned about battery life. I've found a few which looked good but I clicked on reviews and they were all slaughtered because of poor battery life. Can anyone tell me a camera with good battery life, and around my price range? It would be a great help, or even just say about your own camera and how good/bad it is. Thanks guys...

Flat camera i.e straight when the lens is closed, no bumps on front or side. Good battery life is preferable. Love silver, purple, pink and red ones Thanks!
