35mm Slr Camera Canon

I recently purchased the Canon EOS 30D DSLR but want to buy a really good film camera also for film photography class purposes. However, I can't find a good review that describes a Canon 35mm SLR for a serious amateur . Any suggestions?

Canon made some really great 35mm autofocus SLRs. If you want a really good, professional body, look at a Canon EOS 3. A little pricey still, even used.

For a good camera that won't break your pocketbook, try the Canon EOS Elan 7NE.

A lesser, but still good camera would be the EOS Elan IIE with eye-controlled focus.

One thing you can check out is Canon's camera museum (link below) to see when a particular model was introduced, so you don't buy a camera that's so out of date or out of repair that it's useless to you.

I am buying a Canon 630 35mm SLR camera body, and already have a couple of lenses for the Canon Digital Rebel XTI. Will they be interchangeable? Do I need to buy a seperate lens for the 630? I tried to figure it out on epinions but couldn't. :( Thanks!
The 2 lenses I have for the Rebel XTI are:

1. Kit Lens 18-55mm (says EFS on the lens)
2. EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 USM

Canon EF lenses will fit that body.
There is a great selection of used lenses out there since they're been around since the 80s.

EF-S lenses used on older cheaper Digital cameras like the Digital Rebel should not be used on an older Canon film camera.
Newer and more expensive digital Canon's have a larger Image Sensor and can use the film EF lenses.

I have a T35 Canon SLR, about 30 yrs old, will the lenses from this camera fit the newer rebel series of today?

There is no T35. The T-series started at the T50 and the models only went up from there.

All T-series DSLRs used the FD mount which was used by Canon before they introduced the EF mount which is used today. FD mount lenses are not directly compatible with current DSLRs but will work fine with an adapter. The lenses will be fully manual of course.

Manual Focus CameraLens Mount-Canon FD
Camera Type-SLR (Single Lens Reflex) Shutter Speed-2 - 1/1000 sec

I am currently a student in a photography class, and I need a camera that you can manually set the shutter speed and the lens opening. Does the Canon EOS Rebel TI 35mm SLR camera have the manual settings for the shutter speed and lens opening?

There are 2 links below. The first is to Canon's website to a page that list the specs on the camera and here is an excerpt:

"Exposure Modes

That last part that states, "10. Metered manual" means that it has manual control of the aperture and shutter speed.

Yes they will

Except for the EF-S lenses, you can use any EOS lens on any Canon EOS camera. EF-S lenses will damage 35 mm and full frame Canon cameras mirrors
