Camera Canon Powershot

Hey, I have a camera its a canon powershot SD630, I was wondering if there was any way you could crop pictures on your camera without having to do it on your computer. If so could you please tell me how

You will either have to edit your images on the computer...or learn to compose correctly.

I'm looking for a good digital camera. After looking around for what's available, I noticed these two

- Canon Powershot SD 1000

- Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ2 or TZ3 (3 may not be available..)

I'm not sure which to go with though. I enjoyed handling the Panasonic at the store, and the canon may be a bit smaller than I prefer. But I've read about noise problems with the panasonic - does anyone have any experience or knowledge about this? I'm still in the dark about cameras, despite all the reading I've done!

And is the Canon Powershot SD800 much better than the SD1000? It is more expensive so I wasn't going to consider it... but I would if it's substantially better.

What do you recommend? Thanks so much!

It makes more sense to compare the Canon SD800-IS with with the Panasonic's than the SD1000. It would is "substantially better" than the SD1000 in that it has image stabilization and the SD1000 does not.

Between the Canon SD800-IS and Panasonic TZ3, I'll have to leave it up to others to recommend or to you to read the reviews. They are the same price at B&H Photo. The TZ3 looks like a fairly solid performer, but I have no experience with it.

http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/panasoni ctz3/page14.asp says that the images are kind of "soft and flat" due to excessive noise reduction, but they would be fine for average sized prints without a lot of cropping or enlarging. They suggest that you look at their sample images and decide for yourself and this is a good idea. I don't know what you plan to do with the camera.

Personally, I'd give up on some of the wide angle offered by the SD800-IS in favor of the longer telephoto offered in the SD850-IS, but that's just my personal taste.

I bought a camera Canon powershot SD700 2 weeks ago. Now SD800 got released. Should I retun Sd700 & buy SD800? But Canon Powershot D700 Zoom got stuck. I am planning to return that camera. I hardly used it. Even to exchange this with another one, they don't have 700 in the store. They have SD800. Price is $60 in difference. It looks exactly like SD700, with little upgrade. I am wondering may be I will have same problem even if I buy SD800(Zoom). I really like the size & functionality of this camera. You think Canon replaced SD700 with SD800.?
Howcome I can't find any SD700 s in the stores? Any suggestions.

I would pay the little extra cash and get the newer SD800 IS.
It still has image stabilization
has an extra Megapixel
has a wider lens (28-105mm)
and a higher resolution LCD
and the new Digic III processor.

I'm leaning towards buying the Canon Powershot SD1100 IS. Is it a good camera?
What are some of your favorite cameras?

Sony has a new camera which I think works and looks pretty good.
It's the Sony Cybershot DSC T700. I think that's what it is called. My friend has one and I played with it the other day and it works pretty well compared to my Canon Powershot.

I just bought a Canon Powershot E1 and I turned the camera on and fiddled with the settings. Now I want to return the camera to the store but I'd like to restore it to its factory settings first. Can someone tell me how to do this?
