Canon Eos 300d Camera

I need a free software that extracts photos from a Canon EOS 300D Digital Camera. Can anyone help?

You can use the software that came on the CD's with the camera. Windows will also download if you plug the camera in via usb and power the camera on. Finally you can use a card reader to read the files off the card.

I bought a Canon EOS 300D SLR Digital Camera,but I didn't get a software disk with it.My other Digital Camera comes up with choose a task when I connect it to my Laptop,but when I plug in my Canon SLR,it says I need to download software from a disk.I have no idea what to do or what I need!

Download your drivers directly from Canon:

choose model, enter operating system and look after USB drivers or something similar. This will make your life a lot easier and sosts you nothing. Another option is to use a card-reader (see first answer)).

Go to the menu > tool bar >scroll down to b&W > set.

Main use will be portrait photograhy.

Sigma has produced a very nice flash unit that will go very nicely with your Canon 300D. It's better priced than the 580EX and just as capable.
