Canon Eos 400d Camera

I was looking into getting a canon EOS 400d, but everytime i search for it in google and such the only thing that comes up is the canon eos digital rebel XTI. is it basically the same camera with a different name, or what? its just really confusing me.

Yes, In USA it is called an XTi while in the rest of the world it is called 400D.

It is usually easier to use a USB flash drive (under $15) and use it for moving files of all types to other computers and to photo labs. Or you can burn a CD

did any one try the EF 70-300 telephoto zoom lens on the reble XTI 400 D canon digital SLR camera & how was the results.

First thing, yes it will definitely work.
But, I had this lens

on my 30D for a while and I wasn't impressed with the results. I found the lens simply too soft at the long end.
Sometimes, earlier versions of some lenses can be better than later ones. It may be that Canon used inferior optics on my lens to allow the addition of the USM focus motor and still keep costs down. But in this case I doubt it.
If you're after a good, cheap tele zoom, consder the Sigma which is probably the best option in the budget range.

I want to buy a Canon EOS 400 digital SLR camera and i heard that Canon lenses are reverse compatible. I have 2 lenses that fit my EOS 500 35mm film camera and just wanted to know if they would work on the digital camera. I would also like some advise that IF they did work would they work as well as the one that would come with the camera. Thanks

Nikon's crop factor is 1.5x with some dSLRs- Canon's is 1.6, so a lens on your film camera with an angle of view of 30mm will now be closer to 48mm and on a 200mm lens, it becomes closer to a 320mm lens. So the answer is yes they will work, but you will lose the wide angle capability of your lenses, but at the tele end, you gain.

No, you can not. The 400D takes EF or EF-S mount lenses. There are other manufacturers but Pentax is not one of them. Try Canon lenses, they are the best. If you have to get other lenses, go with Tamron or Sigma. Make sure they know it is for the Canon...
