Canon Eos 450d Camera

How and where I have to adjust the settings of Canon EOS 450D camera, that I could see in LCD screen what I am going to shoot? Now I can only see a view throughout the viewfinder. I wish to see a view throughout the LCD screen like in ordinary digital cameras. Pleas help me! Thanks!:)

You turn on the Live View function. Look in your manual, or dig through the menus.

You will find that it won't work the way you want it to work. Live view on that camera is only really useful on a tripod, with a still subject. When you press the shutter button, the camera has to close the shutter, clear the sensor, focus, and then actually take the picture.

I'm about to buy a new Canon EOS 450D digital camera, and my dad has old EOS film lenses that he is going to give me. Would they work on the new digital camera? and is there anyway to check and see if they do? (e.g. a symbol? etc.) and is there anyway to adapt them to work with digital ones if they do not work?

Yes your dad's older lenses will work on your 450D.

One benefit will be that since the lenses for his film camera were designed to cast an image circle that covered a 35mm film frame, you'll only be using the center part of the image circle on the smaller sensor - what's known as the "sweet spot" of the lens.

Another benefit is that if you ever upgrade to a full-frame sensor camera like the 5D Mark II your older film lenses will still work just fine.

I just bought a DSLR eos 450D canon camera. I was given a free UV filter. But I am not sure how to fix it to my lens. Can some one tell me how to, or give me any website where there are instructions. Do i have to twist my lens or something so that i can attach the UV filter. Pls help.. thank you..

The filter should simply just screw onto the front of the lens. Clockwise for on and anti-clockwise to remove it.

ive got a canon eos 450d and ive been looking @ these lenses.i would just like to know what the conversion is if you mount these lenses in cameras which are not full frame ones.

Multiply it by 1.6.
So you end up with an equivalent of roughly 27-64mm and 38-168mm.

what does D stand for in 450D?

Canon has silly numbering systems when it comes to labeling their cameras (I am a canon shooter). You can tell if a camera is digital, however, by the D at the end or beginning of the number depending on the brand.
