Camera Camcorder Case

it dosen't nessisarily need it to go look at coral or anything i just need something for the rain. If possible a cheap one :)

Okay follow these instructions, and you will be fine.

1. Get a garbage bag, (black or white, pick your favorite color).
2. Put your camera inside, then cut holes for the lens and viewfinder. If the bag's too big, trim it to fit. If its WAY too big, get a new bag.
3. Use masking tape or the like to tape the holes of the plastic bag to your camera, sealing all joins.
4. Try it out.
5. If you have a lens hood, attach that to your lens before you put the bag on. If not, you can make your own from pieces of cardboard (self-explanatory).

As you can see, this is a good and cheap method, but there are limitations. So before you go, make sure your battery and tape is good to go, and turn it on if you have to, or if you can feel around for the buttons, you can do that. A hood is not necessary, but it will save you from wiping your lens, and also rain from damaging it. Hope this helps!

I don't want anything like a camcorder case, if you know what I mean. I only want a case for the camera, no extra storage or something fancy like that...

Well, at this point, Fuji doesn't make a camera only case for the S700, so it's unlikely you'll find one. The best you might be able to do is use an existing case for another camera that fit's it closely enough.

Alternatively other companies do offer holster bags made to fit just the camera and at most an additional flat pocket for memory cards, lens cleaning cloth, etc. I'd look at bags from Lowe Pro or Tamrac.

Check the compatibility charts for the model you need. These soft ones are cheaper than the hard lexan cases.

Does anyone know how to create a waterproof... case, i guess, for a camcorder?

I don't want to film underwater. I want to take it out with me on a motorboat and sailboat, but just in case it gets splashed or dropped in the water, is there anyway i can *make* a waterproof case?

The ones that are available are $119 at the cheapest!!

DO NOT PUT IT IN A ZIP LOCK BAG OR WRAP IT WITH BUBBLE WRAP, MY FRIEND A FEW MONTHS AGO LOST A 700$ CAMCORDER DOING THAT!

Go to this site and they show you a REALLY simple way of building one for 10$ or less, depending on if you already have certain things. Im so glad I can help you out on this, just watch this video!

I actually made one of these and trust me it works PERFECTLY, also you can go completely underwater and have some more fun!
