it's a hub for singaporean photographers, and i'm sure if you advertised your needs, you'd have quite a lot of photographers offering their services to you in a second. I know I would be one of them, if it weren't for the fact that I'm now based overseas :)

Also, do be discerning, and keep in mind the famous triangle of client needs: speed, cost, and quality - you can only pick two of the three! that's the way it works.

we and my partners were planning to render portrait studio, family funshots, class pictures, and soon id and invitation printing, bday, baptismal and wedding photography.

Looking in SF Bay Area, preferably in San Mateo or Santa Clara County

I'm sure there have to be some places near you but the only one I know for sure is on Pier 39 in San Francisco. Check your yellow pages under photographers and see if any lists costume portraits. I know that wasn't much help but it's the best I can do since I only have a Alameda County phone book.

I've had two bad experiences with Sears. The photographers were awful and always snapped the pic when someone was blinking or looking away. They weren't very friendly or helpful, either. Plus, they are really expensive for the quality of pics they give. Never tried JCPenney. Wal-mart (yes, Wal-mart) has a great studio and they are always running cheap specials. I had my daughters' one year pics taken there and they were great. I got a lot of pics for a cheap price. The staff was very helpful and they were able to get both of my girls to smile at the same time. Highly recommended!
