Family Photo Wall

I’m wanting to create the family photo wall and I’ve seen the ideas of the same colored frames in various sizes but I was wondering two other questions about arranging family pics…
1) are all frames meant to match exactly or is it “better” to have different frame styles/ designs (still within the same color)?
2) are the photos better matched with each other when all black and white; color; or a combo of both?

Personal preference prevails, it's your house. I happen to like frames of the same color or woodtone in different sizes and style and mats the same. As far as mixing BW and color, I prefer grouping them together but alot of times end of mixing them because of subject (people, places, pets, etc). Have fun with it.

I just picked up my family pictures today. I have 1-16x20(horizontal), 1-8x10(horizontal), 2-5x7(horizontal and vertical). How should I hang those pictures on the wall? I am clue less. Please give me some advice please.. Picture of examples would help. Thanks in advance..

Any suggestions on hanging family photos for wall decor in living room?

arrange them with different size of frame to make it more interesting.. find the pictures of your family that you like to hang.. but firstly, notice the space you have then how you want to make the space alive with the picture..

I am trying to put together a photo grouping, considering displaying it above our fireplace. Not sure where to start. I will have one main family photo and then about 4 smaller photos. Does anyone have any suggestions or links to websites that I could look at. Thanks in advance!
