Hi, I'm looking for an online site, with a gallery of outdoor pictures, with different and unique poses. Large family poses, individual poses. I do all my photography outdoors, but I'm looking for a really creative pose for my kids 4th of July Picture. We have alot of land, and I'm doing an old country 4th of july theme, with straw bales,my two kids, and our beagle, lol.
Unfortunately,i cannot decide how to pose everyone!

Meet the Baker Family from Tacoma, WA! This family portrait session was extra special because their son was leaving home to join the Marines ...
We are passionate about everything photography, and therefore will shoot anything brought before us. Weddings, events, portraits, families, children, product, business, studio, location, etc....we'll do it all. We don't want anything cheesy like "timeless moments" or anything like that....it has to be quirky and easy to remember.
I had picked out "photopia" because is conveys our versatility and our encompassing all things photo.....but sadly, it is taken many many times, and we prefer to be unique, fresh, and new.....
any and all suggestions welcome ;)
thanks,
beth (my sister's name is jade)

I have an idea for an organization which would help Alzheimer's patients, the elderly, and the terminally ill record their memories by a medium of their choice (i.e. audio, video, writing, or some way unique to them such as painting or photography). This will be something left for friends and families after the person involved is deceaced. I don't want anyone to think they can't come to us due to lack of money. That is very important. I would really like to start this in my area. Any idea where I could find a grant or some other way of helping this off the ground? The idea I am envisioning is a place where there would be no obsticles keeping someone who wishes to participate from it, a place where a person isn't judged by their income, religion, race, ethnic background, sexuality, etc. Where anyone who wanted to share their stories with their families after they have gone can feel free to do that.
Set up your non profit as 501C3 organization from IRS. Most private foundations, federal government and even private companies will not give to an organization that is not classified as 501c3. You can find information from the IRS website http://www.irs.gov/charities/charitable/ index.html
I was previously involved in the setup of a non profit, and we were able to get a pro-bono lawyer who set up everything for us, including getting the 501c3 tax status. Contact other non profits in your area and check if there are lawyers willing to work for free to get you started.
As for funding your non profit, the best resource for this is Foundation Center http://www.fdncenter.org . They have a very good database covering all organizations giving grants and you can find foundations that are interested in supporting your type of cause. However, it's a subscription based website ($19.95 per month I think is the cheapest subscription price). But it certainly is worth the fee. You can subscribe one month, and make sure you get all the info you need and then stop the subscription.
If you want to try federal sources, you can go to the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) http://www.cfda.gov and Grants.gov http://www.grants.gov - these are two sites created by the federal government to provide transparency and information on grants.
CFDA has several ways to search for grants. I suggest you search by beneficiary and select Private Non Profit Organization and you can find listings of grants available http://12.46.245.173/pls/portal30/CATALO G.BROWSE_BENEF_RPT.show
Thesis is: Debussy's experimentation and unconventional ways have revolutionized the art of music, influecning many later composers and sparking new forms of music such as jazz
In the first place, your paper at present is all one paragraph! Yes, as the first answerer said, identify your thesis and state it clearly--and end the first paragraph there. (If the word "jazz" ends the first paragraph, it's still too long--you have an introduction almost as long as the whole body.)
The beginning is beautifully written, and it would be a shame to take out any of its evocative images. However, to help you get to the point sooner, you COULD save some of those details for a body paragraph or the conclusion. Suppose you break at "daydream and reality" and add a more concrete thesis at that point. Then you can go into the two schools of composition that Debussy participated in and influenced. You might also mention his debt to the Romantic movement.
Now for the mechanics and such:
1. Not "songs based off of," but songs drawn from" or "songs based on."
2. Something seems to have been left out of this sentence: According to One of Debussy’s teachers told him “I am not saying that what you do isn’t beautiful, but it’s theoretically absurd” (Kamien 440)
3. The past tense of "cast' is "cast"--not "casted."
4. "Debussy’s music can be understood through two important aspects of his music"--a bit repetitious? Why not "of it"?
5. "the main style of which Debussy was attributed to"--On generally attributes a quailty or characteristic or innovation to a person, or credits him for it. So reword this.
6. "Paris was at the hubbub of the revolution" I think you just mean at the hub. (Look both these words up.)
7. "different unlike ever seen before" Insert a comma before "unlike" and the word "anything" after it.
8. "viewed the paintings by the French Impressionists threatening to the “perfect” conventional form of art" Either change "viewed" to "considered" or insert "as" before "threatening."
9. Start a new paragraph with this sentence: "Debussy is generally viewed as an Impressionist, but many art historians claim that Debussy was also a Symbolist . . . . "
10. "Just like he composed music based off " Just AS he composed music based ON (This occurs again a sentence or two later.)
11. "enriched" Why past tense?
12. " Regardless of whether Debussy is seen as an Impressionist, Symbolist" Insert "a" before "Symbolist."
13.."remembered as the pioneer altered the course" "The pioneer WHO . . . ."
14. "A variety of events in Debussy’s life . . . " Start a new paragraph here.
Sorry, but I'm getting tired! In the remainder of the paper, look for logical places to begin new paragraphs. And don't say "unique to"--it's "unique among."
I am a professional photographer who has just relocated to the Spring Hill / Nashville TN area and would like feedback if anyone knows of some great locations for child, family, and pet portraits. I have done some driving around and located a few spots but this is a big area to cover... :) Any suggestions would be welcomed! I love unique as well so share those too.
I live in the Spring Hill area also. You have a lot of places to take pictures of family, children and pets. In Spring Hill you have the Rippavilla plantation. Check with the people there about doing professional shots. In Nashville you can shoot at Centennial park using the Parthenon and the gardens as backgrounds. Nashville also offers opportunities for urban shooting downtown. I have shot portraits on the square in Franklin and Columbia. If you want a natural setting there are wonderful parks in the area as well as waterfalls and caves. There are an abundance of location settings in the area and I could go on for a long time. If you are ever in Columbia you can stop by Whites Camera shop on the square and they can offer suggestions and directions to some interesting locations or if you wish you can email my and I will be happy to offer more ideas. I hope this helps.
