Fujifilm Finepix S2000

If you've own the S2000, how did you like it? How does it compare to other DSLRs?

They are good cameras, but I don't like them very much, they don't feel comfortable in my hands.

That is a good camera but I would recommend Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28K 10MP with a premium 27mm wide-angle LEICA lens with an 18x optical zoom.The picture quality is great and also take HD video.

my camera isnt dirty - dirty, but i dont want it to get all grimy and stuff.

do i need anything special? i clean the lens just with like a soft cloth [ like the ones used for eyeglasses ] but i dont know what to do for the camera body.

also, how often should i clean it?

Nah. Just give it a rub with almost anything when it gets dirty. It's just the body. You can even use a clorox or lysol cleaning cloth.

I'm using a Fujifilm Finepix S2000 HD, and i can't seem to get the subject i'm shooting to appear clear. The subject usually comes out blurry, sometimes not visible at all. I'm a fairly new photographer, and need help!

Unfortunately you have the wrong equipment for what you're trying to do. Although its possible to use your camera in low-light without the flash, the results are not going to be very good. You have 2 strikes against you with the S2000 HD:

1) A tiny sensor that performs very poorly at higher ISO settings.
2) A very slow f3.5-5.4 lens that simply can't gather enough light so you have to use a very high ISO to get a fast enough shutter speed.

If the club is very dim and you use ISO 3200 then your shutter speed might - stress might - be 1/10 sec. as long as you're using the wide setting on your lens. Zoom out and your shutter speed drops even more.

Your only real option is to get in close and either meter off the performers or use the flash.

I have a budget of £150 to spend for christmas and i want a good starter camera but i dont know which camera to buy, here are some I have found on the internet..
