i recently got a hasselblad 500cm and it came with a 100 polaroid back. i only have a 600 for my regular instant camera and i was wondering what kind of film i have to use for this
You will need the Polaroid 100 series Pack Films or compatible films for this. The types that you can use include Polaroid Type 669 color, Type 667 Black and white, Fuji Film FP-100C color, FP-100B Black and white, and FP-3000B black and white.
This is some basic operation of the Hasselblad 500cm Camera with A12 magazine and 80mm CT* lens.

this probably sounds like a dumb question, but how do you use them? I got a range of colors for cheap, no scratches at al on them. I know that what you use them for is a totally different ball game and i've been reading up on it, i just need to know how. Do you simply put them in front of the lens or is there a way you put them inside the camera? :S i probably sound silly, but i'm very confused.
Cokin has a system of filter holders/adapters. You need to get a holder that will accommodate that filter, and then an adapter for your lens. Some Hasselblad lenses have screw threads on the front; others (more commonly) have a bayonet mount. You need to find out what type and size front your lens has.
I am soon to be doing a photographic shoot. I will be using 'hot lights' (tungsten lighting not flash). I know that if I just use normal daylight film, my photos will have a bad cast to them. But I am unsure what film and what ASA/ISO to use. Can you recommend any tungsten-balanced film that's on the market? I have also heard that you can get a filter to put over your camera lens that helps (I have a Hasselblad 500CM). Any tips, advice and recommendations would be very helpful
KODAK EKTACHROME 320T Professional Film should be a good start for you. Kodak also has 64T and 160T available if you are shooting things that don't move.
The filter you may want to buy if you are doing a lot of this and want to use "daylight" balanced film or negative stock. The 80A or 80B are the two that should help (A for correcting 3200k to 5500k, B for 3400k to 5500k)

I use a hasselblad 500cm with a 220 back and I can't seem to figure out the difference between the two films. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations or advice. Thanks.
The Portra Natural Color film gives excellent skin tones. I've used 400NC with bounce flash and been well pleased with its rendition of skin tones from Caucasian, Black, Hispanic and Asian subjects.
The Vivid Color Portra films have slightly more contrast and colors "pop" a little more. I've used 400VC for macro work on a windy day since I shoot in Aperture Preferred (usually at f11) and needed a higher shutter speed than 160VC could provide.
I also like Fujifilm Superia Reala 100 and their Pro400H in some situations.
