Kodak All In One Printer

does anyone knw if kodak printers are good ??? i have a lexmark x5495 and it uses my ink in one month and i am paying $50.00 and more for the ink, too much for my pocket book. so tel me if kodak is good?? happy new year's.!!! thanks

I think it depends on what you want to print. I've read reviews for several of those printers (EasyShare and ESP series), and they're supposed to be pretty good for photos. Text quality is apparently just ok, and print speed is considered slow.

If ink is a big issue for you, I'd look around at other brands of printers that have gotten better reviews. Also, if you buy compatible ink (i.e. ink not made by Kodak, HP, Epson, etc.), then you can still save a lot of money and get decent print quality.

When I turn on printer error message reads paper jam even thou there is no paper jammed in printer.
After I clear paper jam, printer comes on for a short time and then turns off itself after a few seconds but the light on the power code stays green.
It sure doesn't communicate with computer even thou there is ESP 5 All-in-One Printer installed. Can somone help plzzzzzzzzzzzzz

turn off the printer, turn it back on at the same time you hold down the print button,
if that doesn't work, unplug the printer wait a few minutes, and plug it back on.
You cal also try
Start-->Control Panel-->Printer-->Right Click your printer-->preferences-->system tools-->and do a printer alignment-->and print head cleaning.

And if you do, what model #, and how do you like it?

If not what kind of printer do you have and what are some the great qualities or reasons that you purchased the printer that you have?

I'm thinking of purchasing one of the Kodak printers, because of their advertising of how little it costs for the ink, compare to others, but is that a good reason? I usually don't print a lot of documents, but there is some stuff that I need printed out, and I also have a Kodak Camera.

I just purchased a Lexmark Z 2550 from Zellers on sale for $35 before Christmas and it works just fine. Unfortunately printers are so cheap right now it is almost easier and cheaper to purchase a different printer when the print cartridges run out or the printer breaks down. My HP Photosmart quit scanning and faxing after 3+ years and I was told that it couldn't be fixed as no one carries parts. It bothers me that that is the way the manufacturers are going. Throw it away and get a new one.

From the sounds of things you don't print alot and maybe one of the "sale" printers are for you.

i have a kodak esp 3 all in one printer that i need to hook up to a microsoft system, i think i need what is called, plug-ins. where do i get them, and how , in non-computer language, is it installed ? thank-you--ron @sbcglobal.net

when i try to print a picture, the Check Paper light comes on.. and there's paper in it.. why's it doing that?
it's not jammed

There is probably a piece of paper jammed on the inside that you can't see unless you open it up.
