I want it to take clear pictures, go far or close up, take SD card, snap pic fast, auto adjust to take clear pics and for light vs. dark. I perfer it to not take throw away batteries and have good battery life. Does anyone own one of these that they can share there thoughts on it?

HELP..... Sony Cybershot S930 (10MP, 3x zoom) or Kodak Easyshare C190 (12MP, 5x zoom).... any suggestions on which one would be the better camera for just regular family and scenic pics?????

Well if you desire to be a regular like "Help my camera lens is stuck" go ahead buy a Kodak. Not joking here

Sony is not one of the best but it is quite decent yes. I feel that Nikkon, Cannon and Fuji are just a bit better.

Please go with the Nikon

You mentioned that the Kodak has digital zoom which is terrible.

All it is like cropping an image closer and closer. your not getting your full resolution.

So every time you zoom in more you loose quality in the image.

Optica lenses is like using binoculars instead, This give you a full resolution image no matter how much you zoom in.

And maybe look into a DSLR?

Those big fancy looking ones. Most hand cams are going to shred you of needed quality,

I bought an Olympus 10 Mega Pixel that was refurbished for around 175.

Look into it.
