I have a Kodak EasyShare Z730 digital camera and when I turned it on the screen is black and covered with multicoloured stripes, not brightly coloured, mostly red and pink with some green and blue and they kind of move around...why is this?

Try taking a picture and seeing what it looks like on the computer. If the picture is also messed up there's probably something wrong with your CCD. It'll probably cost more to fix than the camera is worth. If your pictures come out fine, it's just a broken LCD which will cost around $100 or so to fix.

Ok well i recorded a video with my Kodak Easyshare digital camera and as some of you that have these may know, when you replay the video, there is no sound and i think i read somewhere in the manual that you have to manually put the sound into the video which i think is comepletely inconvenient so i was wondering if any of you knew how to get the sound onto the video that you record with this particular camera. Thanks.

The quickest way to synchronize the Video from a separate audio recorder is, to do a Finger Countdown of 3 sec while symultaniously counting vocally. Do this before every shot.

Following which, you load them to a decent video editing software, where, you can then synchronize audio and video via your audible vocal countdown and visual finger countdown.

For example:
say: "three - two - one - zero"
while your fingers countdown from: 3 -2 -1 - 0

I have a kodak easyshare LS633 digital camera which I have had for ages.
Suddenly today it has stopped working. THe battery may have run out but I have now charged them and the camera is still not working. the green light at the switch to take the photograph is on permanently and the green light at the viewing hole is flashing. Any ideas of what I can do maybe to reset it for example ? It wont even switch off now.

Most repair places will charge a small fee, up to $50.00 to look at the camera. This fee is applied to the final repair cost, if you have them fix it.

Contact them, tell em Bob sent ya and you will have to send them the camera for the repair. Like a doctor, they can't do anything over the phone and have to see the patient.

They are NOT a hole in the wall business and among other things, they are a factory authorized Nikon digital (and film) camera repair as well as other makes.

The answer you need is probably here.

If you use an SD card in your camera, you can use a card reader to directly mount the card as a removable drive. You will then be able to download the videos directly to your computer.
