Kodak Photo Printer

I am looking at buying one of the new Canon SD1100IS cameras but currently own a Kodak EasyShare Photo Printer 500. Will it be compatible or a nightmare?

Of course! Just upload or transfer all your pics on your camera to your PC and then you can print the pics like you print any other file.

If your Kodak printer is a small printer that prints by just sticking a memory card or USB drive, transfer the pics to a USB drive or just stick the card in and print the pics.

Printers should print any files it is provided with and should not discriminate : )

I have my camera dock hooked up to my photo printer, when I have the camera on and press share, and then print, why won't it print? They won't print from my computer either and I'm getting really frustratred. What am I doing wrong?

In my experience the Kodak dock is not very reliable either for printing direct or through the machine. Better to connect the camera direct to the pc, or put it's memory card in a card reader.

When i press print it's fine, but then the paper goes through & it says "paper jam, turn off for 10 seconds & then restart." & it spits out the paper. I don't understand why it wouldn't be working, because I haven't used it or even opened the box since recently. I haven't dropped it or anything. Also, in the instructions it says to ONLY use kodak photo paper, and i'm not. Could this be the root of the problem? I checked the troubleshooting guide online, and as usual, it wasn't any help at all.

Try a different brand of paper. Sometimes, when you use the paper that came with the printer, it has humidity in it and can cause the paper to jam 90% of the time.

Take another brand, fan the paper and then insert it.

Also, open the top of teh printer and check in the corners carefully to see if their is not a corner piece of paper or even a paper clip stuck. I actually found some in a few printers LOL.
