Kodak Printer Esp

First off let me say--this printer S-U-C-K-S. These are the problems I am having with it: Paper jams, Slow printing, Uses ink like crazy, Takes forever to start up, Sometimes won't print at all but will put paper through like it is, Will take breaks between printing pages, Crinkles paper, and pushes paper out way to fast (will end up on floor out of order). Is anyone else having these problems? Are these problems common for these types of Kodak printers---is it generally a crappy printer?

i've read a lot of complaints about the esp 3, but so far i've had good luck with mine. photo prints (on photo paper) are excellent, text prints beautifully (if a bit slow), and it scans well. i got really nervous after buying it and reading the reviews, but like i said, so far so good.

No Mac Tip today but instead a Kodak review.

It was easy to turn off the color with my HP printers, but I cannot figure it out on my Kodak and the support at Kodak is horrible. Can anyone help if? Is at all possible?

Yes, this can be done easily. Do the following:
File>print>properties>advanced> then check the black and white box in the color printing dialog area. No problem very easy.

Not sure what you mean about their support. I have found it to be excellent. I have attached a link to their support page. Simply click on the "chat live now" button and get helped instantly. I have an ESP-3 at my desk right now and really like it!

I want to get rid of my desk top but I cant till I know if I can connect my laptop to the printer and how do I do it?

As it's a USB printer, simply insert the CD it came with (or download drivers from Kodaks website), install drivers and connect the USB lead to printer (that is turned ON) when the installer asks you to.

i want to return the printer to walmart i just bought yesterday, but i cannot find that card. The card is included in the contents list so is it ok if i return the printer without that card?

oh and i've already used some of the ink but was very unsatisfied with the quality of the prints. am i still able to disassemble everything and just return it even though i've used some of the ink?

Once you load the ink tanks and prime ink through the system, you have a used and therefore non-returnable printer. That said, my experience with the help line at Kodak has been great. If something seems like it is not working right, they should be able to help you. They are really very accommodating

I have a Kodak printer and am very satisfied with the print quality. It looks the same as lab quality

Yes, if you don't have your printer's driver installed in your operating system, it won't work.
