You need the exact right cartridge. Don't force something in there. Read the box.

Only if you want to ruin the cartridge and possibly the printer.

Use either HP ink or replacement/refilled cartridges. Kodak cartridges are for Kodak printers only. HP for HP only.

i am thinking of buying a kodak all in one printer cause the ink is soo cheap?

does anyone knw if kodak printers are good ??? i have a lexmark x5495 and it uses my ink in one month and i am paying $50.00 and more for the ink, too much for my pocket book. so tel me if kodak is good?? happy new year's.!!! thanks

I think it depends on what you want to print. I've read reviews for several of those printers (EasyShare and ESP series), and they're supposed to be pretty good for photos. Text quality is apparently just ok, and print speed is considered slow.

If ink is a big issue for you, I'd look around at other brands of printers that have gotten better reviews. Also, if you buy compatible ink (i.e. ink not made by Kodak, HP, Epson, etc.), then you can still save a lot of money and get decent print quality.

Kodak 5300 printer ink problem?

I had a low ink message come up a few times. I had brand new ink and I was waiting for it to empty. anyways...it said I needed to replace the black and color ink, so I did, but it's still showing that I have no ink. I just bought the new ink and I took it out of the pack and put it straight in the printer. So I don't know why it's showing that I still have no ink. I tried a calibration test and a printhead cleaning, but nothing has worked.

Calibration and printhead cleaning normally work. However, with some printers, you have to *tell* the software that new ink cartridges have been inserted. In this case, you should be able to inform the utility by running the print cartridge change utility.

In any case, as long as the printer is functioning, it shouldn't matter whether or not it *tells* you that there is no ink. You should be able to print anyway. Indeed, most inkjets try to get you to change cartridges while there is still enough ink to print several dozen pages. At $30 a cartridge, they have good reason to get you to change the cartridge as often as possible.

What ink cartridge do you use on a Kodak Easy Share Printer Dock Series 3?

My parents have a Kodak Easyshare model C310 and their ink is running out on their printer dock. Can anyone help me out and tell me what ink cartridge they need?

I also cannot get photos to print from the computer onto the printer dock! Everything is plugged in fine, I selected my pictures and clicked "print" but they are not printing. Ughh!

i buy the kodak kits with the paper and cartridge sold together. Image Link system. prints 40 pics per kit.
the first couple times i tried to print i had problems too. you have to kind of help the paper through, it gets wont go up all the way for some reason just help it along and it should work fine after that. good luck.

  • Printer Makers Clash Over Advertising Claims - eCoustics.com

For nearly two years, Kodak has promised consumers that they can save big bucks by switching to Kodak all-in-one inkjet printers . Unsurprisingly, the company has encountered some opposition. HP is the most recent competitor to challenge Kodak's claim that consumers can "save on average $110 per year on ink" by buying a Kodak printer.

According to HP and an independent consulting firm, consumers would have to print four pages per day to save that much money with a Kodak printer--far more than most home users actually do. Last year HP lodged a grievance against the Kodak ads. In December, the Federal Trade Commission ruled that Kodak could continue the advertising campaign if it slightly changed the wording. As a result, Kodak's revised ad copy now reads: "Save on average $110 per year on ink based on just four pages per day."

    Ads Still Misleading?

Even with the tweaked text, however, Kodak's claims are still beguiling to consumers--according to HP, at least. "The average user in the United States prints about half of what ...
