I am a casual user i just share them with my friends and family.I also take lot of photos and at times in a dim ,low light environment. so is the camcorder sufficient or the digital camera.Thanks for the info.

I got the Nikon Coolpix L100 10MP and it beat my old camera by a long shot. I love this thing! You will regret later if you buy the Kodak!

If you want to get a digital camera Nikon is the best brand for you.
It is very easy to use. Very user friendly menu. Takes great pictures with an amazing zoom. Colors are wonderful. I was very worried that I would have a problem without a viewfinder. Well, the 3'' LCD is truly great--I was taking pictures at the beach, in the middle of the day, and still was able to see the screen. I think it's underpriced, really really worth the money. The 15x optical zoom is really, really great.

I'm planning to buy a digital camera, my first fairly expensive one at $399., and this seems to be a great camera, lots of features. I want to be able to take pictures of people and animals in action--child skipping rope or dog in air leaping for frisbee, for example. I reviewed the info on the Kodak site, but still can't tell if it has that capability. Does anyone out there have experience with this camera? Can it do motion snaps?

I have one, Yes! it can do motion snaps and videos. This camera is sssoooo great and you will get the clearest picture you have ever imagine. If you want i can take some pictures and send it to you.

I am thinking about getting a Z980. would it take good pictures of things like lighthouses and close ups of flowers and bugs. does this camera get the colours right, like blue and stuff.. Basicly is it a good camera and does it take really good pictures

I have instructions on how to use the RAW develop feature. I tried to follow the instructions, and when I choose a picture and press the menu button, the Capture + tab is not visible.

I have no idea how to take a RAW photo help please!

Somewhere in the cameras menu under image quality, there should be an option for shooting RAW.

It is a good idea to shoot RAW + JPEG so you don't have to process each file when editing (sorting). You can pick the best of the best using the JPEG files and then only process the associated RAW files. This work-flow process will save you tons of time.
