What kind of memory card to get for the KODAK Zi6 Pocket Video Camera? How many minutes/hours per GB?

We are getting my mum the KODAK Zi6 Pocket Video Camera for Christmas for ease of use. It only has a 128 mb internal memory which is pretty much useless. But I have no idea what size memory card to get. I looked on the manufacturer's website and read the manual and haven't found any useful information to tell me how much video a card would hold. We can set the video quality from high quality HD to a lower quality so we know it depends on what quality we use to how many minutes of video we can get per gig.

So let's say I wanted to record it on the highest setting, how many minutes would take up 1 GB of a memory card? What size card would you recommend?
These are the three video quality options to choose from:
HD at 60 fps
HD at 30 fps
VGA

Which Video Camera should I get?

I want to make entertaining videos (i.e. ShaneDawsonTV or Smosh, check them out if you haven't) and put them on youtube, so I want a really good video camera (HD) to choose from so people can watch good quality videos. The Sanyo Xacti and the Kodak Zi6 HD Pocket Video Camera interest me. Which one should I get, or is there another one within $400 (hopefully less than $200, still show up to $400 camera too) I should get? I am 15 with a job around the holiday and school breaks, So I have a limited budget, I have about $100 saved up right now though, I can save my money for it though, would like to get before 2010 though.

I recommend the Kodak Zi8- I'm using it now and it is very good and useful. Just be sure to use a tripod! It's $200, but can be found for $150 during sales and such. It is also very easy to edit with.

Good luck with your videos!

Which pocket-sized camera should I get?

I narrowed down my list to these cameras: Flip mino, Flip mino HD, Flip mino ultra HD, Kodak Zi6. Which one should I get. I will be mostly making youtube videos with this camera. Also, if you think none of these cameras but think another one has better quality then tell me that .

Flip Mino HD is a good choice.Good video quality and good sound.

Which video camera is better...?

I want a flash memory pocket-sized video camera, and the ones I'm considering are: Flip Video Ultra (black), Flip Video Mino (black), Flip Video Mino HD (black) or the Kodak zi6.

So which one is best. I don't want it for anything serious. I'm only 14 so I wanna use it to record stuff at school and with my friends and stuff.

BTW I have a PC not a Mac.

Thanks!

i was just confronted with same the same question. if ur going to just put the videos on you tube and dont care about quality, go to amazon and buy the creative vado. it charges via pc and u can take the batery out, unlike the flip mino. it comes in pink and grey and shoots in the same resolution as the mino/ultra and has a longer battery life. its under $100 last time i checked was 70 or 8ty bucks and better value and same thing and cheaper than the flip. gp to u tube and check out the reviews and amazon too. BUT for 100 bcks i think nbows its back to 150 but u can get the insignia hd camcorder. i got this one cuz it was the best value and got it for CHRISTmas.! i love it and im gonna get a sd card for it today!! image sbtabi;lization, like 3-4 hour battery life, i luv it and got it at best buy, only place that sells it. but if the price has risen, id go with the kodak Zi6 itsa a greayt camera biggere than the flip and vado but better liufe and memry thru sd cards and hd reseloution for 200 u can get the vado hd 2hour battery life and 8 gb storage. than for 230, u can get the mino hd. like vado hd except for like a .0000000000001 of a pixel better resolution. oh yeah, for the price of the Zi6hd .can get the mino vga reseloution, and for 125, ultra flip wait reverse that(from willy wonka gene wilder LOL!!!) which i like this but u mite not it uses AA batteries. theirs also the rca smal wonder ut havnt herd eny thing about that or this other one and a bunch of other imitations. if udont need/ give a care about having vga/not hd reseloution, go with the creative vado on amazon for like 80 bucks. if ud like hd. go with the insignia hd camcorder if u want picture and hd camcorder if $100 but if back to 150, go with the Zi6 which depending where is about 140- to 160, which also takes hd and pictures. ALSO: the insignia is literally a minuture camcorder with swivel, screen while the kdak is like the ones with the flip out usb which all f theze have beside the insignia. and the insignia comes with HDMI cables which is pretty amazing cuz thoise are EXPENSIVE!!!!!!!!! HDMI means u can plug the cable into and hd tv and view te photos/vids on the tv, i went with the insignia cuz i like hd and the cheapest hd one and cheaper than the flips but with the sale gomne i think, id go with creative vado for vga qualtiy and charge via pc, or if u want thru AA baterries, flip ultra. if u want hd, go with thew insignia hd camcorder but if back to 150 bucks, go with the Zi6!!!!!!! hglad to help and bye!!!!!!!!!!!(best thing about the camcorders is that they fit in pockets and simle to use even the software which the insignia has on a cd but the others have buitl in and u justflip out the usb)

Which is the better camcorder? kodak vs kodak?

i have been looking at cheap HD camcorders in the style of flips video cameras and looked at these 2 camcorders both from kodak. i can get them cheap so im wondering which one is best. they both have nearly the same specs and different screen sizes and looks but if anyone owns one of these camcorders that would be helpful.

There are some key differences if it's important to you. Screen size is a big one, weather resistance....

You decide what's important. Otherwise they're probably not very diff. Of course, if you have a Mac, the software won't work.
