Kodak Zi6

I want to attach videos together, cut stuff out, and put in text screens, etc. How do you do it with the software that comes on the disc with the Kodak Zi6? Thx.

I really want an hd camcorder such as the flip ultra hd and kodak zi6.
Which one of those two is better?
I have the money for the kodak zi6 right now.
Should I wait to get more money for the flip ultra?

How Flip has the guts to call any of its cameras HD, let alone Ultra HD is beyond me. Flip is has NO optical zoom and in most cases cannot be focused ... the focus is pre-set.

While the Kodak is a far better camera it is really not HD either.

You can see why it is rather cheeky of a point and shoot camera to call its video HD and ridiculous for Flip to even elude to there product as being HD

The Kodak website estimates about 20 minutes of video can be recorded per 1GB using the HD 30fps mode.

This review estimates that a 4GB SD card can record about 60 minutes of HD video at 30fps.

i can't choose between both. the kodak zi6 is a pocket HD digital video recorder that can catch multiple frames as much as 60 per second, the dirtbike is automatic, and goes up to 90 mph-120 mph

If your a big outdoor person/extreme sports person you should go for the dirtbike. If you have the immediate need for a camcorder then you should get it of course. The camcorder can come in handy for random occasions. I would just go by preferences if I were you.

I've heard that I need to format my Kodak zi6, but I have no idea how! Also, why do I need to format it?
What will happen if I don't?

You do not need to format the Zi6, you may would like to download the latest version of firmware to make your camera compatible with 32 GB memory card, visit www.kodak.com/go/downloads

You may also need to format the memory card on your first use, this is to avoid corrupt images that might happen while your camera is saving pictures.

To format the internal memory or memory card in Zi6:

1. press and hold the left and right buttons, then turn on the camera using your index finger, then release the buttons
2. Scroll down to highlight format
3. Select A for internal memory, D for memory card.

Note: You will need to update the firmware first for your camera to have this option.
