Konica Bizhub

Hi there, I am hoping to pick your brains. I have a Konica Bizhub C350 which isnt working quite right.

It prints a few jobs and then just stops. No Error messages just pauses. I have tried various print drivers but none have been successful so far. If I use the copier side it works fine. Any Idea's?

we have a Bizhub Pro C500 Copier and are in desperate need of toner..
everywhere we look has sold out of the standard toner, so i was wondering, are there any other types of toner for a different machine which will also fit inside this machine??

No, sadly only the Minolta will fit. Once when I was desperate I drilled 1/4" holes in the empty one and another brand's full one. Using a funnel I poured from one to the other. This works only a few times as the image drum eventually wears out.

I am tech leader at the business I work at and we just had a meeting with a salesperson about a new all-in-one printer, copier, scanner from Konica Minolta. I am looking for positive and/or negative reviews on it. I googled it but didn't find anything bad, so I figured I would post it up.

Damn good machines. Depens what options you take on it though. I know a load of companies round our way use them, and they are great.

Add the finisher with "saddle sticher" ( I think it's called) and it can make booklets too.
The copies are good quality.
The scan to email function is a godsend.
From what they tell me the toners etc are a doddle to change and the machines rarely go wrong.

Only thing is think about capacity, is 20ppm enough for you, or would the slightly larger 253 or 353 at 25 and 35 pages/min be more suitable in the long run ?

Depending on number of people using it I'd go for it, with a finisher and the full options on that, saddle stitch to do booklets and punching.

Note to OOhch1k : If you lok on the control panel, lower left corner, there's an "options" button (can't recall exact name) and you can go in and turn off the keypress beeps, and the job completed beeps etc etc etc, only leave on the error beeps, and set anything other than "serious error" to "LOW" I do it for all the ones I end up working near

I have a big Konica Minolta bizHub 750 scanner, printer, fax machine. Is there a way for a user to send a job to the printer, walk the the printer, enter a code, only then will the printer printer the job? Apparently "User Authentication" in the printer properties is not the answer.

Should be able to set up a user "box" on the machine, then set the print driver to print to the box, user goes to printer, opens their "box" and prints file.

User authentication simply stops unauthorised people from printing and using your toner and paper. Give me 3 mins to doublecheck on that model though, ( one that I don't set up personally, so best to let me check for sure)

Back, yep it does have box functionality.
