i have a snazzy Minolta Konica camera and it seems to have some problem. but when i gave it to be fixed to a few places, they said that Minolta Konica spare parts are no longer available cuz Minolta has dissolved its camera section and sold a part of it to Sony. So, should i give it to Sony to be fixed? any other options?
thank you in advance!
You will definitely have to deal with Sony, if you need repair. The problem with that is, (well, if it is a problem for you.) they may offer you a chance to either upgrade to their standard of the moment digital Sony camera or they will offer to pro-rate the cost of your camera so you can buy a new one yourself. If they offer to pay for a new camera, you will need to supply a copy of the receipt for your Konica Minolta camera. Sometimes this is the best offer, since when we were dealing with this, they were only offering a fairly blah type of Sony digital for replacements.
The other problem is that they will send your camera to Precision Camera, their authorized repair center...and I have had less then stellar experience with them in the repairing of Konica Minolta cameras. I don't know, sometimes it's a bit of a toss up with them, I feel. Here is the website for where you can get your camera repaired: http://esupport.sony.com/perl/news-item. pl?news_id=120®ion_id=1
Hopefully you can get yours repaired, they are pretty snazzy cameras.

I bought a Konica Minolta Dimage X1 8.0 megapixal camera at Circuit City about 2 years ago. I have never been able to find help to figure some things out with it because if I go back to Circuit City I just find kids that don't know anything about it. I tried to go to other sites online and I couldn't find anything either. My problem is that all the sudden it won't let me crop pictures anymore. In the past 6 months or so it just wouldn't let me do it anymore. This isn't that big of a deal because I guess I can fix it once I get them on my computer, but still I should be able to resolve this.
My next and main issue with the camera is that when I take pictures at night you can hardly see anything and that's even with the flash. My husband and I have tried every different lighting option there is and still it comes out dark. I know disposable cameras that take better night pictures than my $400 camera! I know there has to be some way to fix this so please help!!!!
Did your flash always act like that, or did it just start recently? Are all the pictures uniformly dark, or do some come out okay? I'm thinking it might just be that you're taking pictures outside the flash range. Just move in a bit closer, and see how they come out. Too close, though, and pictures will be washed out with too much flash. Using a telephoto lens with a flash can also make pictures darker, because it cuts off even more light. Oh, and the obvious, make sure the flash is going off. If you can't tell, have someone look and ask them. Your flash could have low batteries if it's too dim. There are any number of things it could be. You could be using a shutter speed too fast for the flash (you might see part of the picture come out if that's happening). You might need to use a wider aperture on the lens to let in more light.
I'm afraid I don't know anything about the Dimage or cropping in your camera. It's actually best not to crop in the camera. Save the full picture and crop on your computer. You could try Googling the camera model. Maybe someone else has had a similar problem with it.
I recently found a Konica C35 EFP camera. My only problem is that I am not exactly sure how to manually rewind the film. I don't want to play around with it too much because I do not want to ruin the pictures I took.
Thank you.
There is a small button underneath the camera you need to press to disengage the film wind mechanism, press this and you can rewind the film back into the cassette.
Heres the manual for your camera.

i am not sure what lenses i can use for this camera? i dont know what will fit. will any manual slr camera lens fit on my camera?
Your X-300 uses Minolta MC/MD bayonet mount lenses. In 1985 when Minolta introduced the Maxxum 7000 Auto Focus camera they changed their lens mount to the A-mount. This mount is still used today by the Sony DSLR cameras.
Only an MC/MD mount lens will mount to your X-300. There are adapters available that allow using the M-42 screw mount lenses on your camera.
Just go to eBay and search for Minolta manual focus lenses.
Konica and Minolta merged in 2003; in 2006 they quit the camera business and Sony bought their DSLR line. When your X-300 was made, Minolta and Konica were competitors - separate companies.
This camera takes film and a sandisk, and this is a power action camera and the 2 just don't work.
I assume the type of card you are looking for is an 'SD' card. SD stands for secure digital.
SanDisk are a manufacturer who are at the leading edge of memory card production.
You don't necessarily have to find a 1GB SD card branded with SanDisk. However this is good news, as it means the cost of 'unbranded' SD cards has fallen significantly. Any camera store should be able to sell you a 1GB SD card.
Amazon offers about a dozen results for 1GB SD cards from a variety of manufacturers, for about $9 each.
