How do I print to a Konica 7145 copier with network printing?

Hi, we recently got a Konica 7145 copier that has network printing capabilities and supports IPP. We have a small P2P network. I have tried repeatedly to get it to print over the network without success.

I can ping the copier's IP just fine. I am able to access the web utility so I know that I can connect to the copier via TCP/IP. IPP is enabled. Any ideas are appreciated!
Richard, I downloaded both PCL and PostScript drivers from the Konica/Minolta website. I have tried both drivers on mulitple workstations. I have tried printing using both LPR and sending raw data via TCP ports 9100, 5500, and 10001. I have tried printing to the spooler and directly. Everything has failed so far.
UPDATE: I just added a second network printer to the network and had no problems setting it up. The other printer is a Brother MFC-8460N. The Konica still does nothing. If I press the "printer" button on the Konica copier, on the LCD screen it says "Ready to Print" and underneath it says "Network Initializing." Thanks everyone!

Hi, Your best bet is use the PCL driver if you dont know if you have postscript installed. Open the printer properties, click the "PORTS" tab, click "ADD PORT", double click "STANDARD TCP/IP".New window opens, then click "NEXT", enter IP address of the copier, click "NEXT", on next page ignore everything and click "NEXT" again, click "FINISH" window will close and you will see the small "PRINTER PORTS" window again, click"CLOSE", click "CONFIGURE PORT", in the PROTOCOL box click"LPR"in the "LPR SETTINGS" the "QUEUE NAME" is "PORT1", also click the "LPR BYTE COUNTING" box, then click "OK" window will close, on original properties window click "APPLY". You should be ready to print now.

How do I connect my Konica 7150 copier to my desktop or Laptop to allow me print?

I have a Konica 7150 copier, I and I am interested in connecting it to my laptop of or my desktop to also serve as a printer. Is this possible and how? Please help out.

That should be no problem. Chances are, you will be connecting via the usb cable. Run it from the printer to the computer. Then, you'll need to install the "driver" on the computer. Normally, that would be a CD provided by Konica. But, do to the MANY updates that Windows and MAC (which ever one you're using) send out, you're much better off going to Konica's website and downloading an updated driver from there. PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS. They may need you to download and install the driver BEFORE connecting the printer. I don't know for certain, because each manufacturer is different. But be aware of that. BTW, if you have both a laptop and a desktop, just install the driver in both.

what is a fns conveyance doort on a konica 7030 copier?

I have this new copier that was donated to our church. It worked great! but all of a sudden it started saying please shut the fns conveyance door

The finisher is the receiver for the completed copier output. It stacks, collates and may even staple. The door in question is on the end of the copier with the finisher.

The first thing to check is to see that the finisher is attached solidly and that an electronic connection is made between the finisher and the copier.

Second. There are detector switches in the transport sub assembly that know when the paper is at a specific location and if every other subsystem is ready to work as it should. Those switches are replacement items because they can go bad.

Third. All the doors and hatches have detectors that cause the machine to stop operating. Make sure all the doors and hatches are shut.

Fourth. A copier is a beast that needs constant attention. If you have other copiers at the church, you may be able to have the beast tended by those people.

Fifth. Never accept donated equipment like this unless it comes with a service package. The cost of disposing such equipment is often offset by a business concern when the cost of fixing a piece of becomes a burden to them and they do not wish to properly dispose of a piece of equipment because it will cost them something. They will donate it and have the non-profits, especially churches, become morally responsible for doing the right thing.

You need to have a copier tech look at your Konica and bring you up to speed on what it is going to cost to keep it working.

I just looked this up. It is a very fine piece of equipment and it is in a class of machines that needs some expert maintenance.

I have a Konica 1216 copier. How do I fix Error Message F36 without having it professionally serviced?

Thanks So Much!!!! This Worked!!!!

A good forum:

Here is something that may help:
My service info doesn't go back that far either, but this procedure should work to reset the code. However, I would make sure there's no toner build-up on the fuser thermistor or thermostat first, otherwise the code will reappear.

Here's the instructions on clearing the code:

Enter the 25 mode by holding down the 2 and 5 keys while turning on the copier.
Press the P key, then enter 47, then press P again.
Enter 0 and press the Print key.
Turn the machine off/on to exit the 25 mode.

If the code reappears, then theres a problem. If it doesn't, you're good to go!
