Tarmon 28 to 200mm lens for Minolta?

I bought this lens for my Minolta Dynax7 15 years ago. I want to switch to digital SLR now and wonder if this lens be still usable. I know Minolta doesn't make camera anymore. Is there any adaptable availble to switch my Minolta lens to digital SLR Canon or Nikon lens?

I own and recommend the Tamron 28-200 because it's a good lens.
I have it configured for my Rebel XS but they also make them to fit other brands... they only change the mounting system but it's exactly the same lens.

Go here to look. All of my Canon shots were done with this lens.
Read my notes please because not all were done with my Canon.

Minolta Maxxuum 7000 Camera with 28-200mm Sakar lens, is lens compatible with Sony a300?

I just bought this kit for $45 off of Craigslist and I was wondering if the lens is compatible with a Sony a300? Its a bayonet style lens. Hopefully it is compatible because I dont have the body just yet. Thanks!!

Your Sakar lens should be 100% compatible with the current Sony DSLR's and with any Minolta/Konica DSLR's that you may find.

Unfortunately, the Sakar 28-200mm is a very inexpensive lens and not one I'd base my digital photographic equipment decision upon.

I have a Sigma Aspherical Lens For Minolta SLR 28-200mm F3.5-5.6. Is there any DSLR that I can use it with?

Actually, if this lens is for an autofocus Minolta SLR you will be able to use with a Minolta Maxxum 7D or 5D. Unfortunately, these cameras have been discontinued but you may still be able to find a used one. Your only choice in a compatible new camera would be the Sony Alpha 100.

If this lens is manual focus, then you won't be able to use it with a DSLR. You would be able to use it an "adapter" on the Olympus e-series (see here: http://www.rokkorfiles.com/olympus.htm) but given that the adapter costs more than that lens is probably worth, I'd say it probably isn't worth your while.

What settings should I use if I am taking pictures of an airshow?

I have a minolta x 700 with 200mm tokina at-x lenses.

What should my aperture and shutter speed be?
I am taking pictures of fighter jets, not bi-planes.

Use a wide open aperture and meter for the fastest possible shutter speed.
