I had a minolta X-g1 camera, which was destroyed, and I several different lenses. can I use these leses with any other camera?
You can buy adapters to use your MC/MD mount Minolta lenses on the Olympus DSLR cameras, the Canon DSLR cameras and of course the Sony DSLR cameras.
Please note that you'll have to use stop-down metering as there is no meter coupling/connection between the MC/MD lenses and the modern DSLR bodies listed.
Holy shit. Am I seeing this right? A talking camera? Not only that- but a talking camera buried within a Wizard-of-Oz-sellout-stunt? I'll let ...
Since everyone is buying digital cameras these days, what is the best way for me to sell my older 35mm Minolta camera with a zoom lens and some attachments? Who would be most interested in such a camera?
You'll get the most $$ on eBay.
If the lens is an off-brand (like Makinon) sell it with the camera as it's practically worthless.
If it's a Minolta lens sell it in a separate listing. Same with Minolta flashes and other name-brand items.
You can also try craigslist and kijiji but in my experience auction is less hassle and nets you more bucks.
Hope this helps and good luck.

I'm just curious.....I have a couple of film minolta camera's but I'd like to get a digital. I like the Nikon camera's, but have also been told that Sony bought out Minolta and their camera's may work with the lenses I have. Does anyone know about that? And what is your opinion of Sony's digital camera's? Specifically, the ones that allow you to change the lens....not the point and shoot variety.
Sony has been making dslr for 3 years now. And minolta lenses will only work with sony. since they did buy them out. Sony is garbage. They're made cheap and use poor optics and are just weird to use. Many people buy them because they're cheaper and trust the sony brand, but don't realize just because its sony doesn't mean its good. You might want to stick with the two larger brands for dslr cameras like nikon's d40 or canon's xsi. They have more assesories you can get and more lens options as well as are better cameras all around.
depth of field preview and an eyepiece shutter

I just started having problems with my minolta film camera.
No matter if it's in manual or auto focus, when i look through the viewfinder whatever I'm trying to shoot is not in focus.
I know it's not the lens (I've tried 3 different ones)
Can someone please tell me how to fix this?
The camera only autofocuses when the shutter release button is pressed half-way down. Have you tried that yet?
If that still doesn't work, I reckon that the camera is mal functioning and needs to get repaired.
can i send my minolta slr camera to wolf camera/ritz to get it repaired?
i heard that they send the camera to the actual manufacturer, but minolta no longer makes cameras.
can i still send it in?
I suggest contacting Garry at garryscamera@yahoo.com or visit his site at http://www.garryscamera.com
Garry is extremely reasonable price-wise and with a 7 day turnaround you won't be camera-less for long.
Minolta X-700, $40.00 + $8.00 shipping and your camera has any problems repaired and receives a full CLA - Clean/Lubricate/Adjust plus light seals/mirror bumper as required.

Sony Alpha DSLRA350K 14.2MP Digital SLR Camera with Super ...
With incredible 14.2 MP detail, Sony¿s ¿ (alpha) DSLR-A350 raises the standard of excellence for step-up digital photographers shooting both family memories and fine-art photos. Live Preview in a large 2.7¿ LCD screen links you and your subject -- and you¿ll have special features like super-quick AF response, continuous shooting at 2 fps while you see your subject in the viewfinder, Creative Style modes for quick recall of custom settings, and in-camera Super SteadyShot image stabilization that reduces blur with every Sony, Carl Zeiss and legacy Minolta a-mount lens. This camera is really unbelievable for the price. If we're talking about the camera body (with no lens), I prefer it over the Canon Rebel XSi anyday (and I've used both). The problem for Sony is that their lens is sooooo crappy that the image quality goes straight down the toilet, and Canons lenses are for the most part very sharp and colorful. The solution? Minolta lenses. I got my camera in the mail this morning and...
