will MD mount Minolta lens fit newer minolta cameras with a memory card?

The Minolta Konica Minolta Maxxum 5D and Maxxum 7D cameras (they use CF memory cards) both are designed to use the newer Minolta "A" mount lenses.

There is an adapter to allow you to use a MD lens on a A mount body like the Maxxum or Sony A cameras

Can I use minolta MD fit lens on a Sony a200?

You'll need an adapter to use the older SR mount Minolta lens on a Sony A200.

Minolta abandoned the SR mount when they introduced the Maxxum 7000 auto focus 35mm camera with the A-mount in 1985. Sony still uses the A-mount.

Would a MINOLTA MD 135MM 1:3.5 MANUAL FOCUS LENS work with a Minolta X-GM camera?

I have a Minolta X-GM camera (from 1981) and a 50mm lens and I would like a better lens but I am not sure what works with my camera.

Any Minolta MC (Meter Coupled) or MD (Meter Dedicated) lens will work just fine on your XG-M. I regularly use a 58mm MC ROKKOR on my XD-11.

Are my MC lenses compatible with my Minolta MD body?

If they aren't, how do I find an adapter to put an MC lens on my MD camera body?
Is there an adapter to put an MC lens onto an MD body? It's an old Minolta XG1 35mm SLR camera.

All Minolta MC (Meter Coupled) lens will work just fine with any Minolta 35mm manual focus camera. I often use my MC ROKKOR 16mm lens on my X-700 body and on my SRT-202 body.

The MD line was "Meter Dedicated" for use with the X-700 in Program Mode and the XD-11 which has Aperture Preferred, Shutter Preferred and Manual Mode. In all the years I've owned X-700 cameras I've never used Program Mode. (MD lenses have the minimum aperture, f16 or f22, in green and a lock to lock it in place for Program Mode).

When Minolta introduced the world's first full-featured 35mm autofocus SLR, the Maxxum 7000, they changed the lens mount to the A-mount, thus making the MC/MD lenses obsolete. The current Sony DSLR cameras use the A-mount.

minolta lens on digital?

Hi all, I have some Minolta MD and one MC and I wonder if I could use them with a digital camera. I found some answer but quiet old. Any GOOD news about?
Thanks

You'll need an adapter for them to fit onto a Sony/Minolta A mount dSLR. Don't waste your time, there are plenty of second-hand lenses on eBay that will work properly.
