Minolta Lens?

Will a MINOLTA f1.4, 50mm, MC ROKKOR-X PG Lens work straight on a Minolta X-7A camera?

I would say so. I believe all manual focus Minolta lenses can fit into any manual focus Minolta camera like the one you have. The X in the Rokkor-X would indicate the lens mount while the PG indicated that the lens have 7 lens element in 5 group - something you don't need to worry about if it takes good picture.

Talking about the new/old lenses. Comparing old Maxxum to new Sony. Bad mouthing Nikon a little :P. Focusing speeds. And a flash. The baton has ...

Is my old Minolta SRT lens compatible with any other old makes?

The lens comes from a Minolta SRT 101. I want to place the lens on an even OLDER SLR.
I AM NOT TRYING TO CONVERT TO A MORE MODERN CAMERA. I am not concerned with stopping down or any automatic features.

Yes, Im sure that it fits the Minolta SR-2 and SR-1.

Is there an adapter to mount an old minolta lens to a new Sony/Minolta mount?

The minolta lenses I found have a smaller mount than the newer Minolta/Sony lenses. I would love to be able to use the older lenses I have on my newer dslr. Does anyone know of an adapter?

Yes. I found one at http://www.haodascreen.com/minoltaMDAF.a spx

Is there an lens adapter for putting a minolta lens on a nikon camera?

I've been told that it used to be impossible, but I didn't know if things had changed or not. Also, if there's not one specific adapter, but there is another way to do it, I would really like to know how. I know the ability to focus on infinity is possibly affected/diminished, but I'd still like to know what the options are if anyone else has addressed this issue. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Due to different flange lengths it cannot be done. The miniolta lens would actually have to be inside the body of the Nikon camera and that would interfere with mirror movement
If you go here and look at Dan Fromms answer it describes why better than I ever could

Will old Sigma lens for Minolta Maxxum 35mm camera fit any good digital cameras?

I have a Sigma auto-focus camera lens that had been used on a Minolta Maxxum 5000 SLR camera. The camera is now gone, but the lens remains. It is a 70mm - 210mm zoom lens with an F4 - F5.6 aperture. I don't want to go back to film, but that lens worked great. Are there any digital camera that it will fit?

The lens will physically mount on a new Sony DSLR, but that doesn't mean it will work. I have an old Sigma 35-135 metal monster that is a great lens, but it won't work on my Sony DSLR. However, it works just fine on my Maxxum 7000. Very good walk-around on that camera. Older Minolta lenses work as advertised on the Sony, but not all the off-brand stuff from the Maxxum days will.

I wouldn't base my camera purchase decision on that lens... not worth it. You can pick up a Minolta 70-210 F/4 constant aperture lens for about $200 or so, which will be a much better lens to begin with if you decide to go with Sony.
