Minolta AF 50mm f/1.7?

Does anyone know if that would work with the Minolta Maxxum 3xi? It's a really old camera, and I'm not sure if it would work?

Hi Gaby!
I think so, have a look at this:

I found this article that says: The Minolta lens mount never changed, until the Maxxum autofocus series came out. Autofocus Minoltas cannot accept manual focus lenses.

and in the wikipedia page it doesn't say anything about different lens mount:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minolta_AF< br /> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Konica_Mino lta#Autofocus_35mm_Film_SLRs

get some nice film to try on the 3xi, Velvia, Kodachrome, etc

I need help with my Minolta OTsi Maxxum?

My uncle gave me his old Minolta QTsi Maxxum 35mm camera for i job i was accepted for. When i first got the camera i took some pictures with no film in it. It worked fine then, but now that it has film in it, it won't even focus. When i turn it on the camera the little screen, the one that shows the number of pictures i have taken, flashes the number 0. The 0 is how many pics i have taken (of course it is a new roll of film) but i don't know why it is flashing. What should i do? how can i take pics again? My job relies on my camera and I'm supposed to get another camera soon, how soon. i need to have a working camera before January 7, 2009. Please help!?

  • Top Sellers Film Cameras: Buy Minolta Maxxum 800si 35mm SLR Camera ...

The Minolta Maxxum 800si is from that dying era called "film". The nicety of the camera is the it's a feature laden camera. The most prominent feature is the extra powerful flash that easily has far greater reach than the Maxxum 7; it's replacement. It has a GN of 14-20 whereas the famed Maxxum 7 is only 12 at 100 meters w/ ASA 100 film. I like the 800si and I really like the Maxxum 7 as they almost have the same technical specifications except for the flash along with the differences also is the presentation / platform of those features. I recommend the VC-700 vertical control grip for better balance and more battery power for those long shots or cold weather. This camera is no Maxxum 7 (obviously) but it's VERY GOOD. If you don't want to get an external flash and want a powerful built-in flash, this is the camera to get as you'll save the money to get good glass. By God's grace, I have both the Maxxum 7 and the Maxxum 800si and that's where I get the comparisons from. The 800si is an...
