Minolta Maxxum 9 camera body
35mm SLR film camera body

Is there such thing as a 35-80 mm adapter ring?

I need one for my camera! I don't even know if the lens is going to be compatible..

It's a Minolta Maxxum QTSi, and the lens is a Minolta MD 80-200mm f 3.9 Macro Zoom Albinar ADG.

The camera is a 35mm, hence why I'd need a 35-80mm adapter ring.
HELP!!!
Well.. it comes with a 35-80mm lens, which is why I figured it was a 35mm camera..
Omg, thank you so much Edwin. And that's perfect because I plan on getting a Sony Alpha as soon as I save enough money.
I hope there will be someone to buy that lens, geesh.
So it uses an 35mm film?

When Minolta introduced the Maxxum 7000 AF 35mm SLR in 1985 they abandoned their MC/MD mount in favor of the A-mount. The A-mount lives on today on the Sony DSLR line of cameras.

You need an adapter (MD/AF) to mount the Albinar MC/MD manual focus lens to your Maxxum auto focus camera. You will have to use manual focus on your Albinar lens and "stop-down" metering, since there is no electrical connection between camera and lens.

In my opinion, you should consider selling the Albinar lens and investing in a Minolta Maxxum AF zoom which will be fully functional on your camera. Then if you ever decide to go digital you can buy a Sony A300 or A350 or A700 or the new full-frame sensor A900 and use your Maxxum mount lenses.

I found one adapter at:

This company also claims to have the necessary adapter but I really didn't check:
