My dad has some Nikon AF lenses that he uses with his Nikon film camera. Could I use these with a Nikon D60 and have them autofocus? Thanks in advance!
If your dad's lenses are AF-S or AF-I model lenses they will autofocus on your D60, any others will not.

I have a Nikon AF Nikkor 35-70mm 1:3.3-4.5 lens. I just purchased a Canon EOS 10D and am wondering if it will fit? Thanks for all your answers!
It isn't worth the effort to use an adapter from that lens to a Canon body.
If that is a Nikon G lens, it doesn't have an aperture ring, and you would need one to use it on a different body.
You need a Canon lens, or a lens made for the Canon EF mount, to work properly with your 10D. Make sure the lens is EF, as the EF-S lenses available for some Canon models will not work with a 10D, and will actually damage the camera. EF-S lenses were introduced with the Canon 300D (Digital Rebel), which came out after the 10D.

i have a nikon D80 with a fixed 50mm f1.8 lens and a 70-300mm VR lens. i am pickin up a nikon fe2 34mm film camera on thursday. will my new modern lenses work on the fe2? and also will a old lens from the af2 work on my D80?
Where on earth did you find a 34 mm camera? Nikon makes 35 mm cameras. That said I have not tested any of my AF-S lenses on my older manual cameras. I have used them on my old F4 with perfect results.
You may want to take one of your Nikkor AF lenses with you and see if they actually will work on your possibly new camera body.
Here is a complete list of Nikon lens/body compatibility

Here is what the link says about the lenses that will work with your "new" FE2. AI-Converted, AI, AI-s, AF, AF-D, AF-I and AF-S lenses. The "G" lenses will typically overexpose the film

Looking to see if these are compatible in any way. Thanks!
Yes it will work with Nikon DSLR
AF and AF-D will mount, meter but not autofocus on the D40 and D60. They will autofocus on other Nikon DSLRs
AF-S and AF-I will mount meter and autofocus on all Nikon DSLR
AI and AI-S lenses vary in what they will do greatly with the camera. On the D100, D80, D70, D70s, D60, D40, D40 X will mount and function to take photos only in Manual mode and the meter will not work. They will not autofocus on any DSLR
The lenses that are AF are from and old Nikon N8008 and I know that my D60 wil work with AF-S lenses so is there a way to get an AF lens to work?
Nope, but you can let the camera verify focus for you if you don't trust your own eye:
"If the lens has a maximum aperture of f/5.6 of faster, the viewfinder focus indicator can be used to confirm whether the portion of the subject in the selected focus area is in focus. After positioning the subject in the active focus area, press the shutter release button halfway and rotate the lens focusing ring until the in-focus indicator is displayed."

Nikon TC-20E AF-S Teleconverter II - The Photo Forum - Photography ...
If you put that converter on a slow consumer zoom lens, it will cut two f/stops' worth of light coming in,so the lens would probably not autofocus. A two-times or "2x" converter like the TC-20E is really designed for prime lenses like the 300mm f/2.8 and 400mm f/2.8 Nikkors, although it can be used on a lens like a 70-200mm f/2.8. Not all Nikon converters can be used on all Nikon lenses; many lenses have rear elements that are close to the back of the lens, and the TC14,TC17, and TC 20 series converters have front elements that are pretty close to the front of the converter's lens mount where the main lens will be bayonetted on, so you really do need to check the official Nikon compatibility list if trying to mount a lens on a converter.
