Nikon Coolpix Camera

I'm getting a Nikon coolpix camera and it only comes with the real low watt battery so i was looking for where i could buy a 1000mAh battery. Does anyone know any sites or stores that have the right battery compatible for the Nikon coolpix s60 camera?

About three months ago my Nikon Coolpix camera was having a lens problem. My father looked up where to send it back to get it fixed on the official Nikon website, and we sent it in the box along with all of the information asked for. Now it's been too long and I haven't gotten back or gotten any word on it. I don't know where to go on the Nikon Website to find out where it could be or how I am getting it back. Does anybody know what I am supposed to do?

i have a Nikon Coolpix camera, when i put my memory card inside. only the pictures show but my videos arent showing. can u help me how to get them from my memory card to my computer.

Make sure that when your memory card is in, you're not mistaking your videos for more pictures - the videos when you view them as thumbnails look like your pictures but kinda look like film strips. If you're sure this is not the problem, there might be a problem with your memory card. Try connecting your camera to your computer using the cord (AV/USB Cable UC-E12) you should have gotten with your camera.

My end goal is to display photos on a digital photo frame. I purchased a memory card for the photo frame. the photos are on the computer and I need to get them on the memory card. I thought I could plug in the camera and drag them back on that way, but it is not working. I'd prefer not to buy a separate memory card reader if I can avoid it. My camera is a Nikon Coolpix S550.

If the pictures were not taken with the Nikon, then you risk corrupting things when trying to use the Nikon as a memory card adapter stick.

You really should spring for the $5-$10 and buy a memory card reader/writer (Wal Mart, Office Depot). You could get one for $2 from Meritline, Dealextreme or one of the ebay Hong Kong/Taiwan sellers. That includes shipping charges.

I got my cool Nikon coolpix camera and I have to admit it sucks..the picture is grainy...am I just doing something wrong it is suppose to be 10 mega pixels and it doesn't seem that way at all...damn Ashton Kutcher had to look all cute in the commercial...any other experiences with this or am I just camera dumb he he?

There are at least four settings that will affect picture quality.

- Picture size - for Example 3000 by 2000 would be 6 megapixels.

- Compression (sometimes just called quality) - This setting affects the size of the file that is stored on your memory card. - A setting of "fine" will produce better pictures than a setting of "standard" or "basic" - Both compression and picture size affect the size of the file on your memory card and the number of pictures you can save on the card.

- ISO - which represents the low light senstivity of the camera. - Set your camera at 100 or 50 (if it has a 50 setting) for the best possible quality-- 400 or 800 will produce a grainier picture but they will allow you to use a higher shutter speed in low light.

- Zoom setting - Most cameras let in less light when the lens is zoomed to maximum telephoto as compared to wide angle. - Maximum zoom also magnifies any camera shake- On a bight sunny day, this is not very important, but it is important in dim light.

Also pay attention to your shutter speed. Use a tripod or brace your camera against something in low light if you have the opportunity.

One last thing: - More megapixels in a camera is not necessarily better. The sensor in most point and shoot digital cameras is not much bigger than the eraser on the end of a pencil. - More megapixels squeezed into the sensor means the pixels must be smaller, which increases noise. -
