Nikon Coolpix S230

I just bought the Nikon Coolpix S230 how can you change the color of the picture being taken? I know you can change it to black&white or sepia but I'm not sure how. Also, how can you turn on smile shutter?

My camera is a touch screen Nikon Coolpix s230 and when i turned it on to take a pic itt said "Lens error" and i just don't know what how to fix it.

Does the lens come out all the way as normal when you turn it on or does it stay in, attempt to come out, make funny noises or come out at a strange angle?

If it does any of the latter suggestions then the lens has probably broken either through being dropped or by opening by being powered on whilst in a bag or confined space.

Unfortunately it is very unlikely that it would be fixed by your manufacturer under the warranty but I would take it along to a camera shop and ask someone to take a look at it for you. Sometimes it's a quick fix and other times it may not be repairable. Unfortunately this is the problem with lens errors.

If it cannot be easily fixed, some camera shops can give you a free estimate for repair costs. I recommend getting one of these before contacting your manufacturer as their costs will undoubtedly be higher if they refuse to repair it under your warranty.

i am looking for a good digital camera to buy and i was thinking about buying the Nikon Coolpix S230, but from what i've found online, i can't tell if it has the selective coloring effect or not. (where you can chose one color and have the rest of the picture be black and white) i want to know if this camera has this effect before i buy it. do you know if it does?

I think only canon cameras have that color effect.

I really want that camera, but I want a camera with continuous shooting mode more. So does the Nikon Coolpix S230 have that?
for example - pentax optio E80 has high speed shooting, with up to 12 images in 2 second.

And if Nikon Coolpix S230 doesnt have it, name some cameras that do please!

It have feature Best Shot Selector (BSS) automatically takes up to 10 shots while the shutter is pressed and saves the sharpest image
