I just got an s570 and it makes a clicking noise when I move it around while the screen is on. Is that normal as it focuses or is it a problem from shipping? Thanks!
It's not when it is zooming in but after pointing the camera at a new object, it makes the noise.
well I'm kind of confused about what your asking haha but for instance, when I zoom in for a picture the whole camera vibrates and there is a little clicking noise so that might be what your talking about? Anyways I'm pretty sure it's supposed to make the clicking noise. hope I helped(:

I just need to know, how do you check how much your battery is charged? I can't seem to find a way.
The charger for my battery has a red and green light. When the battery is fully charged, it turns from red to green... It's not a Nikon though so I don't know if yours has the same feature.
In any case, it shouldn't take more than a couple of hours to be fully charged and you should be able to get 200 or so shots from a fully charged battery.

is there a way to reduce the blur on non-flash of this camera? i have the users manual but cant find a way to do it. the pictures come out a little blurry and i want to fix the settings, if possible.
If you are shooting in low-light situations and are not using flash, the camera's shutter will stay open longer. That time is spent capturing the photo and if you are moving the camera (even a tiny bit) the photo will come out blurry. If you don't want to use the flash, you would have to get a tripod, even a table top tripod would work. The more stable the camera, the less blur you will get.

Nikon Coolpix S570 compact camera review - Pocket-lint
The Coolpix S570 arrived alongside the S640 and provides a simple to use, high-resolution snapper for the masses, but with some problems and some neat automated tricks up its sleeve.
Costing a quid shy of £200, the S570 looks very nice (I had the silver liveried version) and comes with a 12-megapixel top resolution and a large 2.7-inch screen - though it lacks an optical viewfinder - as most compacts tend to do today as their makers try to keep 'em small.
Billed by Nikon as a camera "perfect for parties, nights out, holidays and more" it certainly boasts a high ISO setting if ISO 32,000 at full resolution. However in practice, shooting at anything over ISO 400 the noise becomes visible and over 800, it's very intrusive, so shooting in low light at higher ISOs is possible, but you may not like what you see in the resulting images.

In terms of overall performance, the camera is also lacking some pizzazz. It's pretty slow to focus in all modes other than with the fixed, central AF point in use - face AF, manual and auto zone AF selection are all very slow to lock on, and even then they don't always get it right.
