Nikon D5000 Camera

I have for a while been wanting a decent D-SLR Camera and have found the Nikon D5000 and I think that its the one, but I'm just wondering does anyone have it, and if they do, is it a good camera? Also when you buy one online are Nikon batteries included?

Does this camera take clear crisp images???
if this camera isn't the best any suggestions on what i should get?

- If possible i would like advice from someone who owns this camera or someone who knows alot about them.

Nikon D5000 is a very good camera.It have feature close to Nikon D90.

Finally I have saved enough money to buy a SLR. I narrowed down to D5000... The lens that comes along with it is18-55mm... I also wish to have a telephoto lens.. with reasonable zoom..Can you please give me some suggestions?

I read that D5000 doesnt have an auto focus motor. How does an auto focus motor help? will it be difficult to do without it? Waiting for your valuable comments.

If you can afford I would recommend Nikon 70-300mm VR but if you have limit budget Nikon 55-250mm VR is a great telephoto lens to get.

Auto focus is help you a lot but D5000 doesnt have an auto focus motor means it does not auto focus with OLD AF lens but don't worry about that lens that avialable in market now is AF-S lens which auto focus with Nikon D5000.

I just bought the new Nikon d5000 , I am wondering how many pictures would this camera be able to take over its life before the internal parts start to ware down.I did spend the 200 extra for the 4 year warranty.
Also does anybody have any good info or tips I could use with my new camera?

The shutter is the primary moving part that is subject to wear. Most shutters these days are rated for 100,000 actuations, and there are plenty of people who have used cameras well beyond that. While the technology may be considered obsolete in only a year or two, the camera itself should last a very long time.
