Nikon D70 Digital Camera

Looking for a well loved but still working Digital SLR camera, If anybody doesn't want theirs (England only)Please let me know, I would dearly love one.

Mine works well but I'm going to a nikon D200. I'll let you know.

Depending upon which lens you get (AF-S 18-55 mm ED or II), it comes with

Front lens cap
Rear lens cap

You will need to buy a UV filter for the lens and some memory cards. That will get you started. If you plan on taking long exposures using the bulb setting on your camera to shoot star or light trails, you will need the Nikon ML-L3 Wireless remote

Oh, and a computer to store you images on and some kind of advanced photo program like Lightroom or Photoshop

I want to purchase a Digital SLR Camera that is cheap (less than $500) and has very good features. In other words I want a cheap camera that will give the best value for my money. I prefer Nikons or Canons.
Oops. The cameras are more expensive but I am still interested in these two cameras or similar models.

You can't do any better than Nikon or Canon cameras.

You really have to hold both in your hands and see which one fits best and which is best for your style of shooting.


That said, you can buy a new Nikon D40 with a 18-55mm lens for under $500.

Nikon has an outstanding reputation. As has Canon. Both companies are at the top of the heap of camera manufacturers. Canon has a greater reputation among professional photographers, but there might be some inbred bias there.
