Nikon D90 Camera

I'm purchasing my first SLR camera soon, & after researching about models & asking some professionals, i was recommended the Nikon D90. I want a good standard lens for a starter with it, something of high quality and good for a beginner like me..plz recommend what u think would be suitable =)

Because the D90 has the video option, I would opt for the 18-200 mm VR. It will give you an excellent focal range for both still and video shots.

I take a look at the Nikon D90, the first digital SLR with HD video technology.

I'm planning on buy a nikon d90 slr camera and 18-200mm lens from J&R store but am debating where to buy the Repair Master accidental coverage for both the products. Is it worth it?? The camera is $999.99 and the lens is $650.

definitely buy the insurance.

I am a huge Nikon fan, but the D90 was just prematurely forced onto the market, and will most likely have problems later on down the road.
Those problems should be covered by Nikons warranty that they give you (like a year or something) but they can also say that whatever goes wrong is "User Error".
Then you are out the money and the camera.

It may be expensive, but it would really suck for something to go wrong, or to have an accident with it.

For the 18-200, the warranty is not so necessary.
It is a good lens that has been around for a while now.
I do reccomend, however, that you get a uv filter to protect the front element from scratches. also, keep the cap on when not in use.
those front pieces of glass get scratched quite easily.

I want to buy an enthusiast level Digital SLR camera and have come across two similar cameras. But i do not know which one is better or more "bang for my buck."

However Canon 40D is a good camera choice.Before you buy you should try them both with yourself,which one feel better in your hands,which menu is easier to navigate.
