Whats a good/fast Olympus compatible zoom lens (four thirds) for low light/concert photography?

I'm looking for a good lens for shooting concerts at night or in night clubs. It needs to be compatible with current four thirds based Olypums DSLRs. I bought a Sigma 1.4 EX Aspherical HSM Wide Angle Lens and its great for times when I want to take wide stage shots, but I'm looking for something I can use when I don't have pit access and need to get some close shots of the bands from the crowd. The Olympus Zuiko 35-100mm F2.0 Zoom Lens is great, but I cant afford it and its also pretty huge. Anyone have some recommendations for a lens that would fit my needs? I just need something fast and with some level of zoom on it. If it matters Im using a Olympus E500. Thanks in advance for your feedback!


I have an Olympus E-500 and and E-510. My honest opinion... if you really are committed to doing this kind of photography, you may as well sell your Olympus and get a Nikon. The lenses that you really NEED for this from Olympus or Sigma, it will probably be cheaper to by a Nikon D90 and a decent lens. I really like my Olympus(es), but my next camera will be a Nikon. No comparison when it comes to lens availability and price. The E-500 is especially awful when it comes to focusing in low light as well. My 510 is better by quite a bit but still not great.
