Wide Angle filter for an Olympus Trip 35?

Just wondering if anyone has ever come across a wide angle screw-on filter that might fit an Olympus Trip 35? Further to that, are there any other interesting filters for an Olympus Trip 35?

what type of flash should I buy for my Olympus Trip 35 camera?

I need something cheap and siple so that I can take photos of friends on nights out. I know there was a flash designed for the camera or something but so far I've had no luck on ebay.


Any thyristor flash will do. Vivitar makes quite a few. Have you seen this site?

I would hang on to them for interest sake personally, because digital cameras are becoming cheaper and film processing dearer they are of little value unless you find an enthusiast who is learning or wants to learn the joys of 'real' photography.

I own a olympus d 35 digital camera been using it for couple of years?

Now all the digital pics are coming up blurry..?Ive cleaned the lens and tried but agian the pics are coming up blurry.

Checked the settings as well but same results.

Anyone have any suggestions ?

How much was or is an Olympus IS-1 35-135mm camera worth today or then?

Any idea of how much it was worth when it came out or today will be helpful! Thanks :)


The IS-1 was Olympus' first attempt at what they called a "Bridge Camera" an SLR with a built on lens. It was pretty expensive (for such a limited camera) when it came out. I think it went for around $400, but today, I'd be surprised if anyone would pay more than $50 (if that much). I think the IS-2 was better anyway and the IS-3 was massive & I think it was around $600.

    First roll off my Olympus 35 RC. I finally got around to changing the seals on this old mechanical beauty – the Olympus 35 RC was one of the last mechanical Rangefinders that Olympus made. The RC has an Auto mode – it’s a shutter priority system. You set the shutter speed, and when the camera is on Auto, it will set the Aperture. I prefer using the Sunny 16 rule, and was glad that the RC offered a manual override that allows me to set the aperture as well. I was very curious about this particular camera – it’s very similar to my Ricoh 500G, and I had been looking for an Olympus rangefinder for a long time. The camera is a joy to use.. the operation feels smooth and precise, and feels comfortable in the hand. The Olympus RC details are in the in the Olympus Cameras page along with a description.
