I want to buy Olympus E-P2 and 14-42 mm lens.
In Amsterdam, where is it in stock?

It is that.
I can't say for Amsterdam but if you can wait a day for a delivery, these are the two largest on-line camera stores in the Netherlands. Here you see they both have the EP2 w/ 14-42mm in stock for a few pennies under €1000, incl. BTW (19% sales tax)

(I've personally purchased camera gear and printers from both places - both are reputable and perfectly trustworthy.)

Hi all, I am to purchase my first expensive/pro camera and I had the intention to buy the Nikon D5000 until I learned about four-third cameras. Can anyone explain in-depth the difference between a four-third and dslr? And compare these two's features for me? Thanks a bunch.
I believe I will use the camera to film videos and large image printing.
The main difference is sensor size - 4/3 is about 70-80% the overall size of a normal APS-C digital sensor (which the Nikon has). Meaning, that overall quality is lower. 4/3 allows for smaller cameras & lenses, but is generally only being marketed by a few mfg's. The proportions of 4/3 images is also different. A typical image is 2x3 in proportion - meaning a 4/3 sensor is double the width with the same height.
Keep in mind that video on a camera is NOT the same as video on a camcorder. It's a much more involved process, since when using video the cameras autofocus doesn't work. Right now, video on DSLR's is a gimmick, not a really usable feature.
I'd personally be careful with anything non-standard like 4/3. 4/3 is really more marketed as an in-between from entry level DSLR's and bridge cameras. It seems to me to be the next APS.

I really like that they have kept their original body, and also this would be my first nice digital, so I am new to using it.
I know nikon or canon would be the way to go, but i want to see what people think about this camera as well.

I am new to DSLRs; i've been using a 35 mm SLR Minolta for 5 years now.
anyway, do you think it would be okay to buy this or should I actually buy a DSLR?
oh! and are you limited to lenses with this camera?
i love macro lenses! and if these wouldnt be compatible that would be disappointing.
btw - i am a photography student, and am doing traditional photography...but really would like to start getting into digital.. at some point i'd like to start moving into commercial photography and documentary photography.
You can use any 4/3 mount lens with this camera. That means all Olympus, Panasonic and Leica lenes. It is a DSLR...ish. It's a complete redesign of the digital SLR, what makes digital marketable without holding on to the limitations of the old designs.
It's good and there's no reason that you have to stick to Canon or Nikon. However it is expensive. This is nothing at you but it pisses me off that people think that. It's like saying "I only eat Hamburgers and Hotdogs." There are 700,000 other types of food and 40 million amino acids, you'll never grow hair again.
If you've got the money I would suggest a lower body (D40, E-520, XS) and two two lenses.
The EP-1 is nice but it's really aimed at the hip market. It's the Holga for older white people.
Prevent scratches, collisions and moderate impact to the LCD screen.
Optical glass strengthened through special crafting process.
The protector is reusable.

Canon EOS Lenses on Olympus E-P2 Tip
So I quickly wanted to give you all an update/tip on the use of Canon EOS lenses on the Olympus E-P2. When I originally did the review I said you could not change the aperture of the lenses but that seems to be at least partially incorrect. There is a way that you set the aperture to something other then wide open, your still limited to a single aperture while the lens is on the camera.
