i am thinking to buy olympus E520. i want to know is it good camera to use for landscape and wildlife photography. i have seen that it has Small sensor, but it has 2.0 crop factor which almost doubles your length like if i use 70-300 lens it will be 150-600 i believe.. i really want to know is this crop factor really a good positive point or negative point.


The olympus cameras are very good units. Their lenses will equal or better than any other manufacturer. They will take the older Olympus OM lenses if you have the proper T mount which can be obtained from Olympus.

Olympus E520 camera automatically displays the pic after taking pic. How do I turn this off to save bat power?

My Rebel XS does exactly the same. I'm sure there's a setting in your menus. Rever to your owner's manual for details.

Any dslr is good as long as you feel comfortable using it. That said, the E520's main advantage for nature shots resides in the fact that it's light and small. A smaller sensor will make it go longer, but just be aware that this will force you to keep your ISO low as noise will be more residual as a result.

the sony has more features but I been told that olympus is a better camera


Buy the Sony. You can use every Minolta Maxxum AF lens made since 1985 with it as well as the current Sony branded lenses and the Carl Zeiss ZA lenses.

The Olympus is a good camera but uses the 4/3 mount so there are fewer lenses available for it.
