How can I use my old Zuiko lens of Olympus OM 20 SLR Camera on an Olympus Digital SLR Camera?.?

want to buy a new digital SLR Camera and use the old Olympus lenses on it which are still in good condition

Forget about it...get a lens for the camera (about 35mm auto, made for the digital camera you have. All these adapters, etc, are a big hassle. And, unless you know for sure, old lenses can have mold within them and become worse and worse with time. Good luck

my olympus stylus 400 digital camera lens is jammed and it is sucking the battery out, how can i fix this?

I have this camera for bout a few good years and it isnt a bad camera but just the other day i found out my camera was jammed..i thought i just had no battery so i recharged the battery and put it back in but when i tried to slide the cover over the lens it wouldnt fully close...so i think my lens is jammed..it sucks because it is sucking all my battery out! the camera still works but it is just that problem..i kinda figuered that i need to unscrew the camera and try to fix what is wrong inside but i have no idea on how to fix cameras..i dont want to break it any more than what is already broken...but to just say the cover wont fully close so my lens thing is open...does anyone know how i can fix this without going to a mechanic or something???

You cannot fix it. Frequently on these pages I see people saying the lens mechanism is stuck and the answers from the experts are always to take it in for service. This seems to happen a lot. The question you need to ask yourself is if you want to upgrade or not. Your camera is only a 4mP sensor with only 3x zoom. This is okay but new cameras are offering a lot more.

Go to the Olympus website and send a message to their customer service. Maybe they can give you some idea of the cost to fix it.

Good luck.

I own an Olympus FE-100 4.0 mega pixel digital cam. The lens doesn't work now because I dropped it! Help!

I dropped my Olympus digital camera while the lens was out, and now the motor is jammed. (I can't close the lens.) I'm really bummed out because I love taking photos and this camera means a lot to me. My boyfriend bought it for me for Christmas. I haven't even had it for a whole year! I took my camera to the electronic store where my BF bought it to find out if they can repair it. (Warranty has expired!) I was told that once the motor is jammed, there's no way to repair it. Does anyone know if this is true? I'd like to take it to the camera shop, but I don't want to pay a fortune on repairs. I don't want to buy a new one either. Anyone have any ideas?

Unfortunately, the cost of repairs for electronics anymore are so expensive that the broken piece of equipment has to be VERY expensive before it makes sense to repair it.

It CAN be repaired, but it will cost more than a new camera. I'm afraid you'll have to buy a new or used camera.

One hint, if you love your camera so much that you decide to buy a used one from an auction site like eBay; do yourself a favor and find out what a new one from a local store will cost. I've seen way too many people pay outrageous prices on eBay because they got caught up in bidding fever and bid WAY too much.

Lens for Olympus EVOLT E-500 digital camera.?

Does anyone have any idea what kind of lens would fit an Olympus EVOLT E-500 digital camera? Do all olympus Lens fit this camera or another brand that would work? I bought one of these camera's but it didn't come with a lens so I am in need of one and wondered what possible brands would fit this type camera. Thanks
I chose the Olympus Evolt because I was able to get it at a really good deal. It was an estate sale and I got it dirt cheap...it just didn't have a lens...so am trying to find a lens. I was hoping ANY olympus lens would work with this camera..so that's why I was inquiring.

What is a good lens I can use on my Olympus Digital SLR for portraits?

Id really like a prime lens with low f number....

Depends on your style. You can take portraits with a 300mm f/2.8 just as you can with a more conventional 85mm f/1.8 if you know what you're doing.

There are several choices in the ideal portrait range:
- Olympus Digital Zuiko ED 50mm f/2.0 Macro (100mm equiv.)
- Sigma 50mm f/1.4 EX DG HSM (100mm equiv.)
- Sigma 30mm f/1.4 EX DC HSM (60mm equiv.)
- Olympus Digital Zuiko ED 35mm f/3.5 Macro (70mm equiv.)

The choices above are all excellent for portraiture. Of course, you also have the widest variety of legacy primes available to you for the small cost of an adapter.
