I have about 400 4x6 photos from Cardinals games in 2006. I would like to put them in a photo album or albums. I don't like leather or gold and I don't want to spend a ton of money on the album. A scrapbook style album might work since I may want to include ticket stubs, but I am not set on that.
I got mine at Walmart, you could also check a craft store, for a scrapbook album.
4x6 Photo Love is a new monthly class from garden girl Shimelle Laine, brought to you by Two Peas in a Bucket. Join us for a new class on the 30th ...
Does anyone know the brand or where they are sold now?
They hold 6 4x6 photos per page -3 on each side- and they have a margin for notes.
I really need to find these as I don't want to switch pages in the middle of an album.
Thank you :-)
I can't find any online as and as target no longer stock them any that are out there are likely to be end of line and as such unlikely to be advertised anywhere.
Other than striking lucky on e-bay I can only suggest that you either find an acceptable alternative or use a lot of shoe-leather going round various stores to see if they have any left - smaller photo outlets would be more likely to still have them than big stores. the big stores would probably quickly sell off discontinued stock, a small shop just might have some tucked away.

I bought two photo albums today that I really like, though when I got home and tried to insert photographs into them, I noticed that the 4x6 inch prints that I normally get don't fit. I measured the plastic spaces with a ruler and they are about 3.5x5 inches each. Is this a standard photo print size that I've never heard of?
Is 3.5x5 a standard photo print size that my local printing place (either a Walgreens or a specialty camera store, depending on how much I feel like spending at the time) will be able to make? Or will I have to cut the edges off of photos to make them fit? Please help, I really do like these photo albums and I'd love to use them!
Bonus question!
What are some good photo processing places in the Greenwich Village area of New York City (the West Village in particular)? Ideally I'd like both a nice place that'll do the job right and a cheap place that I can go to if I'm low on cash.
Ignore the part about New York City, I asked it as a separate question...
I remeasured the slots in the photo album and the side that I initially said was 3.5 inches is actually closer to 4 inches, though it's still small enough that a 4x6 print doesn't quite fit.
Also when I talk about prints I more mean prints of 35mm film (and occasionally 120, though I don't normally put those photos into albums). Also I don't live anywhere near a Walmart (which I know is kind of weird), so please don't recommend that to me.
You are right, 3.5x5 is an old standard print size. 4x6 has become the standard since around the middle 1990's, maybe before.
When I was doing custom colour printing in the late 1980's, the machine prints were all 4x6, but that was the lab I worked for. The reason 4x6 became so popular was that they are the exact image ratio of the 35 mm film, 3:2, so the whole image was printed and nothing was lost to cropping.
You may want to look for some more contemporary photo albums that will hold the larger prints.
In Manhattan, I would suggest you take a walk through B&H Photo and see what they have on their shelves.

What do you think of having small 4x6 photo albums as wedding favors? I found some online that are very pretty and I could add a ribbon with our colors on it. If this is a good idea, do you think we should give them empty, or already have photos in them? Or maybe just one photo on the cover and let them fill the inside? A last question: is this good for kids/teenaged guests? Should they be given something different? Thanks!!
It is a good idea, if that's what you want and you can afford it. I am not particularly fond of the idea. Favors like that are usually left at the wedding an/or just collect dust. But! You can do more like a photo FRAME an not necessarily a whole book. Nowadays, I don't print as many photos as I did before there was digital.
Other favor ideas that guests love: homemade/local goods (like honey, jam, coockies), a slice of the wedding cake, a donation made in their name to a charity that you care about, wine, coffee, etc.
Black, ivory or red in color. Using for wedding favors in July. If you have any for sale or know of a website that sells by bulk for cheap please let me know. Thanks
Sounds cheesy, but dollar stores sell albums that size in those same colors. You just have to know where to look. Michael's isn't a bad place, either.
