Alright, I've looked almost everywhere and I'm unable to find a producer of a certain type of photo album (the kind you'd physically put photos in, not an online one). What I'm looking for is a small album to hold 5x7 sized pictures with a diary-type lock on it. Nobody makes it. It does not exist. Can I get it produced in North America?China Even? Help.

I've never seen anything like that. I'd recommend getting a briefcase that has a lock and a photo album that fits snugly inside it.

I'm deciding whether to order my pictures as 4x6 or 5x7. I may want to make a photo album or scrap book and I am afraid these books might no go well with 5x7 pictures (since the standard size is 4x6).

It truly depends on the film size (if you're still using film). Most "standard" prints are 3 1/2 X 5 (35 mm film) but most places make the prints 4 X 6 (if you look closely at your 35 mm negative and compare it to the print, most of the time it will be "cropped" slightly, unless it is a "standard" print).

5X7 and 8X10 are enlargements.

Most frames are 4x5, 5x7, 8x10 formats.

Put a few in frames around your home, then what you have left over, start a scrap book of either your vacations together (leave plenty of room to add more!), or start a photo album. The albums don't necessarily have to fit just the 5x7s that you have, you can center each picture in the album so that it's framed there as well. It's a nice way to start something you and your children will have to look back on later in your lives.
