when i did system restore..i looked in adobe photo album and they say the files are missing.it shows the photo but you cant retrieve it or reconnect. Have I permanently lost them or can i get them back...HELP...any suggestions...bluedot
When you did the system restore, did you happen to choose a restore point (date) BEFORE the photo files were originally saved?
If so, try and undo the restore. or restoring again to a point AFTER you know the photo files were originally saved.

Open the picture go to a corner and click and drag it to the center of the picture.
ive been saving my piccies onto disc and deleting ones i no longe want but for some unknown reason i can view all my piccies but when i click into individaul piccies or try to view as slide show it says picture error pictiure not there help please
I don't use photo shop album starter, but I do use a lot of Adobe products and usually they keep a thumbnail or preview of the actual image within the program's database. This would cause the problem you describe.
So when you want to delete the file, try right clicking it in photostarter and see if there is an option to delete the original from disk AND remove it from photostarter.
Otherwise do a search of the help systems for removing images from photostarter and deleting files.

2. check your firewall /antivirus package perhaps it has blocked the communication of your adobe PSE to internet. Change to allow.

5. If you cant use the s/w without reg , return and try another s/w
I currently use Adobe elements 3 to edit photos etc.....but what photo album should I use, there is an organiser with elements 3 , and I have seen Adobe photo album 3 starter edition on a free download....how would this interact with elements 3 and for that matter Windows 'my pictures'????

Adobe Nixes Photoshop Album Starter Edition | Maximum PC
Adobe has announced it is discontinuing its Photoshop Album Starter Edition software, which resides at the bottom of Adobe's image-editing products. No new product is taking its place, and instead Adobe is encouraging users to move their photos to the company's online Photoshop.com web portal.
"As part of our commitment to providing customers with a free photo-editing solution, we have created Photoshop.com, an exciting new online service that lets you upload, organize, edit, store (up to 2GB free), and share your photos," Adobe wrote in a note to its customers.
Then note went on to list steps for exporting photos from Photoshop Album Starter Edition to Photoshop.com, as well as asked customers to "consider an upgrade to Adobe Photoshop Elements 7," essentially a stripped-down version of Photoshop CSx with a much lower price tag.
