Baby Shower Photo Album

At my baby shower, I received a couple of baby photo albums. But a few weeks ago I bought my own very cute ones. What should I do. I really like the ones I bought myself better, what my family might be hurt if I don't use theirs.
I can't use them as the baby grows. I bought 10 photo albums on my own to use as the baby grows. I am a photographer so I take tons of pictures. I have almost 800 pictures just of my little cousin and he's not even 3 yet.

I was the same way. My little cousins had pictures coming out the wazoo... but I took even more when my two precious ones came. You will need them! If you do not fill them all keep them anyway, after all.... if you have another child you can save them for them! :)

I am putting together a gift basket for an expectant mom but because money is tight I am trying to go all homemade...I need ideas for things I can make for mother and baby... Some of the things I have already made include:
A baby photo album...I took an old photo album that was given to me last Christmas and made a covering out of some cute whinnie the pooh fabric that I had cuz babys room is gonna be winnie the pooh
A picture frame...Again an old gift that wasnt being used...bordered with the pooh bear fabric.
A homemade recipe book with recipies for homemade baby food
A fleece blanket made from some fleece material that I bought at a yard sale

I need some more ideas please....

Since you are crafty - you should make a buncha baby washcloths and burp towels! I have like 20 washcloths and still need more!

ok so my best friends mom is haven a surprize baby shower for her and well i bought her some clothes and stuff but i also made her a cake out of pampers with the help of my mil but i was wondering what yall thought of it does it look nice to give? btw i made it to where we can stick the clothes in the middle of the cake :)

My best friend aka (Sister-4-Life) is having a baby due in April...she's a teen mother, and we as her bestest friends are planning to give her a "surprise" baby shower. However we need more ideas...I have few planned here they are...
1. Select a theme for the shower....she likes Bratz and she is 15.....
2. Create your own decorations. place a framed photo of the parents-to-be on the gift table for a personal touch. Be sure to provide the mother-to-be with her own special chair next to the gifts and mark it by tying Balloons at the entrance.
4.Make a memorable centerpiece, Diaper cake or A stuffed animal in a basket with baby stuff surrounding it.
5.Decide on the menu. It can simply be cake and punch, chicken wings, Finger foods, sandwiches, fruit or fresh vegetable tray, Nachos and dip, chips n dip, assorted cubed cheeses and crackers, chicken salad, cookies, deviled egges. pasta salad.
6.Plan a variety of games: Some more active games are "Baby Hot Potato" where you pass a baby doll around a circle while you play a lullaby. Whoever is holding the baby when the music stops is out. Keep going until one person is left. Or "Diaper a Doll while Blind-folded." All you need is a doll, a diaper and safety pins and a dark blind-fold. "Baby Bottle Drink-off" is a hilarious game."
7.Gift Ideas for the mommy-to-be a thermometer, pacifiers, bottle, formula, liners (depending on the bottles preferred by mom), nail clipper kit, washcloths, hair brush and comb, travel bag dispenser that gives you a small bag to put dirty diapers into, a new outfit, burp cloth, nasal aspirator, a few diapers, and wipes. What do you all think, are there anymore ideas for the theme, food, decorations, and how to set it up well for the surprise. I was thinking of holding it at our school in the commons area. Over by that way its a cafeteria where she can go and she will not see anything. That way they can make their way down that trail and then she will open her eyes and see what we have planned.

I like baby animal themes - then there is a lot of room for you to make your own games, decorations. there is also a guessing game where everyone guesses how big around they think the mother-to-be is at the largest part of her belly. My wife and i had a baby shower this Sunday, well it was more of a party than your traditional showers.

We are in the process of writing thank you notes and she wants to send a picture of our baby along with the card (btw, it's an ultrasound pic). We edited one of our 3D ultrasound pictures, added a black border, and "thank you" plus the "(date)" underneath the picture. (photobucket's poster look)

i think it looks great, and it's something different. The baby shower itself was different (golf club banquet facility, alcohol, guy-friendly, d.j., lasted about 7 hours). plus we have a picture printer that does wallet size.

I have never seen anyone do something like this before, that's why i'm not sure if it would look right. What do you think? Is it doing too much? Or a cool detail? Thanks for your time
