I'm storing all my photos on my computer and I'm wondering if there is a good photo album programme/software anywhere? Free or paid-for is fine. Thanks.
Don't know if it's the best but I use Ability Photo Album and Ability photo Paint.

I use a digital camera to take photos. I like to print the best ones out and keep them in an album. But the size ratio of digital photos is different to the old film camera. I can find the standard (old) 6x4 inch and 7x5 inch format, but my prints are either 5x3.75 inch or 6x4.5 inch. I could resize them, but want to keep the photos asI have taken them. Where can I buy an album to fit them?
I too have found it very difficult to get an album set up for the 6x4.5 size. 6x4 is still the standard.
Most of the photo printing shops automatically crop off 1/4 in. on each side of the long edge to give 6x4 prints (whether you like it or not!).
Right now I have my camera set for 3:2 aspect ratio, so I frame and get 6x4's. At least the print shop will not crop off somebody's head!
The only other solution I found was to get an album with single large pages, then put a couple of 6x4.5's together on each page.
Good Luck

I am looking to make photo albums using digital photos from previous vacations. I am looking for a high quality album -- something that will look good for years.
Does anyone have any recommendations?
Thanks.
You probably should think of using photo books if you want to keep your pictures for a long time. I use Mypictales to create photo books. You can learn more about them by going to http://www.mypictales.com

My parents recently started taking an interest in digital photography and asked my recommendation for a photo album program with basic features: crop, re size, fix red-eye, etc. I use Adobe Photoshop Elements, and it may be just a little too much for them at this point. The program that came with their camera is terrible. What are your recommendations for a simple, but quality, program that my parents can use to effectively manage their photos?
Is Picasa web based? I need a stand alone software program as my parents don't use the internet at home.
best one is Google's Picasa from here http://www.sleekbytes.com/picasa-google. htm
you download it to your computer and then you won't need to be on the internet.
Also get them to download both these two:
The Gimp is good and the best for pure editing on the free. http://www.gimp.org
Second I'd put Irfanview, also free

I'm looking for something nice for christmas with my new husband, he loves photography but doesn't have anywhere to put his pictures! I was looking at photo albums, and i would put a picture of him and i on the front page.
Is there a such thing as a normal photo album with a digital cover? and do you think he will like it?
No I don't believe there is but you could buy him a digital photo frame which has pictures which change.
