I'm a photographer and would like to create a little website for my clients overseas to have access to and that has password requirements. Their photos are private so that's why I need them to be able to use a password.
P.S. I don't necessarily want to use photobucket or one of these services.
Maybe the image gallery feature on http://www.terapad.com will help you ... its free ...
move photos and videos between albums, delete photo albums (without deleting the photos) password protect your photo albums, and copy the album ...
I'd like to post some photos online (and not on facebook), but I'd love to have the security of a password to access them, so the general public won't be able to peruse them. Is there a good site that is free and allows users to do this? Thanks in advance for your help.
I don't know they have security password for albums May be they have in future but if you have beautiful photos and wallpapers share in their site ... http://www.pokkisam.com
i have a mac and it has i photo but it doesn't allow you to password protect photos or albums
... any suggestions for good, FREE applications i could download off the net?
thanks all x
I actually think a better solution than password protection is to encrypt them using GnuPG. This, of course, takes a password but also garbles up the images and would only be able to be opened by the person who holds the pgp key.
does anyone know which photo sharing site meets these criterias:
- free
- unlimited photos and albums
- password protected for each album
- does not compress the images or leaves its original quality
- doesnt need the viewer to have an account on the site to vie the pictures
- generates the url and other codes to be linked to other sites(optional)
thanks!
hoping for an answer really soon!
Well I highly doubt there is any where for free that will give you all that for free as they have to make money.
I use flickr and you can upload 100MB of pictures per month for free with URL codes and you can choose to compress images or not. You cannot password protect them but you can make sure only friends and family see them. And you just use your Yahoo! account.

i heard it on the radio, and it had a unique name like Doxico, or Roxico, or something. You can password protect any or all of your images. Thanks.
I think you mean Picasa. http://picasa.google.com/
Another program I like if you actually want to make a photo book is Picaboo. http://www.picaboo.com/
Softwares ( Misc ): Private Photo Album 1.2 Portable
Private Photo Album is a private photo album you can take on the go. It’s perfect for loving couples or teens who want to keep their private photos on the computer private. The application includes a built-in image viewer and slideshow capabilities. The photos are stored in a single executable file, which is protected by strong 256-bit encryption and password access. The file is portable. You can easily move it from one computer to another, or take it with you on one of those USB flash drives and carry protected photo albums in your pocket.

This can be password protected, so that if you have a party you can leave the computer alone without anyone messing up your library by disabling party mode.
